Need For Speed: Most Wanted

Just picked up this one for the Xbox, I'm having fun so far. I'm a fan of the whole Underground series.
Only thing I don't like is the fact that this year they dropped the SUVs... I love the H2 :D . Anyway, the cars included are very nice. They even got the new Fiat Punto!

Anybody else playing this???

I'm so far behind you on this... Wil be giving a Gamecube to my son for Christmas and I plan on ordering the first NFS: Underground over the weekend as I was a big fan of the NFS series on the PC in my younger time and I found it sorta cheap. Won't be allowed to play it before Christmas though (kinda makes sense no? ;)).

I'm pretty sure I'll have fun with NFSU and then the plan will be to get NFSU2 and then Most Wanted whenever they drop the price for it :)

The cutscene videos are pure cheese, but the game is fun. Police chases are even better!

Cool. So you can also win cars as you beat other people??? Very nice. I'm still on number 13.

I have NFSU2 for PC and it was fun for a while, but too repetitive. How is this new one? i have read in forums that it's even more linear.

Basically, the point is the same: get a car, mod it and race in sprints, circuits, drags, lap knockout and the new ones (tollbooth and speed trap, I think).

They got off the SUVs, leaving all sports-type of cars available.

You gotta challenge 15 other street-racers (the blacklist) and beat 'em all in various types of races. Every time you beat one, you can choose 2 markers as a rewards. These 2 markers could give you extra-cash, parts, visuals or jail-free pass.

The new thing is the cop-chasing. The cops are always searching for you, and when they found you, the chase starts (even in races). You gotta escape from the chase. If you are able to escape you gain "bounty" (rep), but also you're more "wanted". If you fail to escape, you got your car seized or else you pay with your money the infractions and damages that you've provoked.

Also, I like the fact that now there is only one shop for everything, without having to discover a different shop for every type of mod (like in NFSU2).

Overall, I'm having a lot of fun right now.

Yeah when you beat someone you get 2 markers. You can use them on 3 of the unknown bonus, or spend them on any of the three bonus you can see like body or engine upgrades. Take a chance on the unknown and you might get a pinkslip to the other persons car.

In fact, from the first 2 guys I beat I chose the performance and visual ones, but I got pretty much crap stuff. Instead with the last guy (number 13 I think), I chose the 2 unknown and I got 25,000 $ in money :D .
