The cost of the new software was $160. If anyone feels a desire to contribute to that cost, I am certainly open to that, up to a point. Some folks have expressed concern about financial contributors feeling that they are "owed" something on the board--and that could be valid. I think the best way to deal with that is to let me be the one carrying the heaviest financial burden. I'll accept $10 contributions from 12 people. Any $10 contributions that come in excess of the first 12, and it'll be that person's choice: I can either tear up the check, or let it be a pre-order for "Things I Know For Sure," (my CD) which looks like it'll be released in late February or early March. Once I've passed 12 contributions received, I'll announce it on here, and ask that no one send any more. Here's what I'd like you to do if you're going to send a contribution:
1. Check through this thread to make sure I haven't announced that contributions are closed.
2. If I haven't yet closed contributions, then mail a check or money order to:

3. Send a PM to me AFTER you've MAILED the check letting me know you've done so.
Thanks for your patience. This has been too long coming. Thanks to Grid Iron for pulling together some things that enabled me to push ahead. Thanks to Ryan S for doing the install.
Incidentally, my site promoting the CD will go live a couple of weeks prior to release of the CD, but there are a few pictures on the "under construction" page now. They are at www.benelou.com. (The legendary Titanic photo is there of course!)
