Anyone using it yet? Couple of questions if so:

Are there any issues with it? Is it easy to transfer settings from 1.07?

I tried it for about a week, but then realized that the extensions haven't caught up with it so I decided to go back to 1.0.7 until that time. But what setting are you talking about? If you are talking about your bookmarks, it will automatically transfer them. You should be aware though that 1.5 is still in beta, but I didn't have any problems when I used it for that week.

I'm using 1.5 and have noticed no crashes or anything, also all my exxtensions and bookmarks have carried over fine.

Actually, it's not in Beta anymore as of yesterday I think. And yes I meant the bookmarks. I wasn't sure whether 1.5 would handle them the same way as the previous versions, even though I assumed it would.

Cool. I don't have a lot of extensions, but I really like the Forecast Fox one. Are you using that one?

Oh crap.....thanks for the news. Didn't realize it is now out of beta. I wonder if all of my extensions have been updated. By the way, you should back up your bookmarks, just in case. Do this by going under Bookmarks -> Manage Bookmarks. Once the window opens go under File -> Export and save this html file to your desktop. If you install the new browser and don't see your bookmarks, go through the same procedure, but select import at the end.

No sorry. Just using the JavaScript blocker and an adblocker.

Nice to hear. I went ahead and installed it. All looks good. Most of my themes don't work, but the one I was using does so that's fine. The only extension I have that doesn't work is that Dictionary Search one.

I use the one from webster's page that uses the search box on the top right just fine.

Actually, the Dictionary one does work - I just had to manually go in and update it. For some reason it, along with a couple of the themes, didn't update on install like the other stuff did.

I haven't tried 1.5 yet but my Flash stopped working yesterday to the point where I went back to 6 today :(

The only extensions I really care about are Foxtrick and HT Ratings Translator- have any hattrickers updated yet or should I take the plunge?

Oh, and Adblock- does that work?

SI,
Both of those extensions work fine.
Only one that was listed as "incompatible" for me was miniT, which isn't a huge loss for me.

Ok, figured out why Flash broke and how to fix it. Go to Adblock prefs and uncheck "Obj-tabs" and Flash will work again. :)

sterling - my Adblock has gone tits-up since I upgraded. No longer can I right-click on an ad and banish it forever. I can't even kill ads by using the little "tabs" that Adblock sometimes places on ads. Any ideas?

I've started to notice the same problem with adblock. I cleared my ads back when I thought it was a problem and haven't been able to add anything since. Plus, it can't even pick up the blockable items. I suspect they don't have a good update out since the 1.5 upgrade. I just went back to mozilla.org to download a new version so hopefully it works.

There we go- I had to go and manually download an update for Adblock and it works better now. Oh, and might I add, I hope ESPN.com dies a horrible horrible death for that Motion crap.

Does anyone else have problems clicking on the go.com links on espn.com? I cant ever go to any of the main news stories.

ESPN seems to be working fine for me so I don't know what that could be.

For anyone having Ablock issues, there's an update called Adblock Plus (http://bene.sitesled.com/adblock.htm) that will make it work with 1.5

do you have to unistall firefox old version 1.07 before installing the latest 1.5?

Yes, you should always uninstall previous versions before upgrading FF.

Ah-HAH! Thank you! This has been driving me nuts for several weeks now...I also found another way around it. If you go to adblock's page, there's an "Adblock Plus" new version which you can re-check that option and it still allows Flash through.

Adblock Filterset.G Updater (http://www.pierceive.com/) is another nice one to have if you are using AdBlock.

If you are experiencing problems after upgrading to 1.5 (for instance I lost my scroll bars and access to some option tabs) AND you have installed a 'theme' you should uninstall the theme and replace it with the default setting. This worked for me.
