I went to deliver a pump this morning and when I got back to the office, my computer had a BSOD and something about a memory dump, reboot computer etc. I also noticed a clicking sound.
So, I rebooted the computer and it failed the POST. So I went into the utility and there was no primary IDE controller. I took off the side panel and noticed that the HD was making the clicking noise. Powered down, and rebooted, but to no avail.
My question is, is my HD fried, or is this a power supply problem? It almost seems like the HD is trying to get up to speed and is then dying. Also, when I left this morning, it was performing a virus check, not that it should matter, but it has not turned up any viruses to date (I have it do a full scan every day.).
