Hey folks,
One way to conserve screen space w/vB forums is to shrink the size of your signature. In the box where you list it (on the user profile page), simply put {size=1} at the beginning of your signature and {/size} at the end (replace the {} with brackets).

This reduces this size font to this size.

You can even get fancy and add color.

Important because large signatures get old, esp. for those patrons with smaller monitors.

It's also important because you are an effete bastard.

You mean like this?

I guess this proves it - size matters.

The html tags (< and >) only work if you have HTML enabled. The vB code is [ and ].

I have View Signatures off, just as would Avatars.

NEW YORK - Despite eons of speculation to the contrary, two British scientists have laid to rest the idea that a man's shoe size is in any way correlated to the size of his signature.
Their scientific study found no link between the two variables, according to a report in the British Journal of Urology International.

"This Noyths has now been dispelled," Jyoti Shah of St. Mary's Hospital in London told Reuters Health. "There is no point using shoe size to obtain indirect measurements of signature length."

To date, there have only been two studies that evaluated the relationship between the size of a man's foot and the length of his signature, according to Shah and colleague Dr. N. Christopher of University College Hospitals. While one study showed a "weak correlation" the other showed no correlation--but this study relied on men self-reporting their own signature length and shoe size.

In the current study, the researchers studied men visiting a forum for various reasons. Because it wasn't feasible to measure the length of the erect signature, the researchers measured the signature when gently stretched.

"There is a strong correlation between stretched signature length and erect, and thus it is not necessary to obtain erect lengths," Shah said in an interview with Reuters Health. "The correlation is so strong that the results can be extrapolated to erect signaturees."

In all, 104 men had their signature measured and had their shoe size recorded.

The investigators found no correlation between shoe size and signature length.

"The supposed association of penile length and shoe size has no scientific basis," they conclude in the report.

Is there another body part that accurately estimates the size of a man's signature?

"There are suggestions from the literature that hand span, finger lengths or nose size...may be predictive," according to Shah.

"I have some ideas that I am currently putting together as a research proposal," the researcher added. "There must be some part of the body that is predictive of signature length...the search continues."

It's not my monitor I'm worried about. Anyway, smaller signatures look cooler, and don't distract from your actual post. Not that such a thing really matters with your posts, though. :D

So, because you think smaller signatures look cooler, then everybody must think the same. Good logic. :p

I have a 19" monitor but it is still hard for me to see. I don't have a problem with a couple lines of sigs at the regular size.

Marmel, I swear to Jebus I'm going to kill you.

Don't I look scary when I make this face?

Anyway, it's just informational for anyone who digs the smaller signature aesthetic. :)

Ok, NM, as long as it is no longer important. :)

Eh, it's still important for people who want to know how to do it (and aren't sure about using vB code in their signature). More immediately important than knowing if I'm wearing boxers or briefs, anyway. ;)

But since you're evil I'll just say BOOYAH, ASSCLOWN! ;)
