Well SkyDog thanks for the GV title yesterday even though it only lasted 1 day it still felt good. I guess this gives me something to shoot for again.

Frankly, even though I'm the one who did them this morning, I don't remember the exact numbers. Rich sounds about right though. QuikSand has something to shoot for too, and I'm pretty sure there's a "GM" level too. I could be wrong though.

If anyone should be a Grizzled Vet, it should be you, Josh. :)

You'd think so, wouldn't you? At least I'm not riding the pines. I can still make a comeback! :D

I think Airhog should be given the title "Official Thread-killer."

Post counts/ranks do nothing but fuel SPAM and Rivalry among the members. Its a silly, and childish thing to have on a Messageboard.

Thank you for proving my point.
I am a member of another messageboard, that I won't mention, that I have over 8000 posts...but luckily...Myself and a few other people there asked the Owner of the Web Site/Forum to disable any ranks and only allow looking at post counts under the profiles.
Only thing you have is your name and the Date you registered.
Its a much better system and one that will not cause people to SPAM the board ridiculously.

Why don't you go make me a sandwich, rookie. ;)
I like seeing post counts and labels like "Grizzled Vet," especially when I'm new to a site and want to know roughly who the prominent voices in the community (for good or ill) are. Can (and I emphasize can) help sort the wheat from the chaff when you need good strategy info and such.
I like to see my post count go up because I attach my self worth to my post count.
I just got cooler.

It helps my fragile self-esteem to see that I am a starter, and that I am not a mere mortal. ;) Do you have a foot long tongue that I could rip out like that Edmonton Oilers coach?;) :p

Damn Kodos, don't do that. I was scrolling and had that long blank screen and thought the screen stretch was back. :)
For the Houston Texans person, if post counts don't matter than why did you feel you had to mention your 8000 posts at another board?
