Well I just figured out what you guys were talking about, its not in the standard display. I found the member #'s in the old FOFC style display. Sorry I am slow....

Really its not that important, it was just a method ardent used to seed everyone for FOFC Cup I We didnt have anything to seed teams with thats all, so I just kept it going as new teams kept joining.

I searched for European club logos online and found one I liked and simply made some small changes in Photoshop. It's pretty easy. The hardest part is finding webspace because your logo must be online, but then again, even that isn't all that hard.

My team is coming together nicely after picking up a 20-YO passable keeper last night for $105,000. A couple more young but cheap backups and I've got 22 decent guys on my team.
Currently 7-0-1 in my league and solidly in first. Nice getting a team already in first, although goal difference is keeping me fairly well out of promotion territory (probably for the best, this team isn't ready).

"Friendly" matches occur on Wednesday (that's when we have our various FOFC Cup matches), and league matches are on Sundays.

Very logically, I believe they made it a reasonable amount of time to reach PASSABLE in youth squad. Going from PASSABLE->SOLID seems to take a fair bit longer and going from SOLID->EXCELLENT definitely takes a time. Makes sense since it allows team to be able to survive on their own after not too long. I like their system.

Well, I made Passable in youth squad last night. It took 3 weeks to go from making Inadequate to making Passable.

Too bad my players don't go up that fast...or at all. I have trained Playmaking every week and have had a grand total of ONE player with an increase.

Speaking of increases or, in this case, decreases, what is the deal with form? I have many players going down in form every week, many more than go up, it seems. I have 6 wins in a row, at least until I play a good team tomorrow, and still they drop like the plague.
I guess I could read the manual for insight maybe, but I prefer my FOFC/Hattrick bretheren, as y'all usually know what;s up on any questions I ever have.

You know what I like... I like having a Wingback for sale whose value is, like 45k, but he is the only passable/passable wingback on transfer for any day at that time (defend/winger). Then 3 teams start bidding for him, and I end up getting 150,000 or so for him. Now THAT is my kind of sale.

Form is semi-randomish. Every week, 2/3 of your teams apparently get selected to have their form be modified. Some notes I've read have said training general doesn't really help but I felt like it helped me (I trained general for a couple of weeks to normalize the form after a fair stint training stamina).

As far as stadium goes, from what I read from DK's and horned the toad's posts, it seems to be 17X-to-25X your supporter club size. Depending on your rate of success. If you are having solid consistent success, you might consider the higher end since the club should be able to grow to fill it.

Have you double checked to make sure your coach is passable (or at least in that neighborhood)? That might effect your training. Also if you have a prospect you really want to improve, you might consider playing them in both friendly and league. More experience is a GoodThing[tm]. :)

Playing twice in a week gives better boost? I thought once a week was same as twice a week, as long as you play in a game.

Here's what I read and how I understand it . . .

An International friendly gives about a fifth of the experience that a league match gives - and a friendly within your own country gives about half as much as an International friendly.

Each game a player play earns him some experience points (say, 10XP for a league game and 1XP for a domestic friendly). The more game, the more experience earned.

As far as what position you earn the experience on, it doesn't matter if you played one game or both. Only the last game played count for whether or not your player earned the XP, based on position.

Again, I could be wrong here (see: the discussion on forwards in the General section of the forum). But that's how I'm understanding it. :)

Well guys, you got me! I lurked around in here for a couple of months, kept reading about Hattrick this and Hattrick that, so much so that I had to check it out and now I'm hooked!!!

Please welcome the Pintendre Pittbulls (108238), currently dead last in division IV in Canada, now certain to be demoted to division V.

I got my team last Tuesday and have bought a few players, signed a few coaches and assistants, read a lot (from people around here, thanks!) and even though the Pittbulls just won their first league game 4-3, I just realized that with my 3 points (was a big fat zero when I got the team) and only three games left, I CAN'T reach the 6th team in my league. Inevitably, my team will be relegated to division V. Oh well, at least my supporters are DELIRIOUS after our first league win :)

Floyd Meek on the other hand, had a terrible day.

He put up an amazing 0 star performance :( ...Well I can keep him as a backup for now.... oh well it was only I think 1,000...

Well, if you are training defenders, he MAY be worth something someday. He is an 18 yr old inad defender, after all. Play him in friendlys, get him training.

If you aren't training defenders, I strongly recommend dumping him back on the xfer list. He'll sell for 1,000 again.

And no, I'm using my rock collection as promotional items for my next match vs vexroid. :)

Having three keepers, you train only two of them every week, right? Wouldn't it be better (or cheaper) to carry only two and as soon as one of them is passable, to sell them?

I've tried to get rid of one and had no takers...I grabbed two almost simultaneously and realized I had a keeper too many...but I train all three, the youngest gets all the friendlies, the other two are capable at the leagues...

Open question to all the great FOFC Hattrick minds: Do you really use the special attributes like powerful, head or even my favorite, unpredictable ;) ??

I got my team about two weeks ago, won one league game and a friendly and I,m still trying to figure out most of the stuff that's in there...

Powerful like I said is good for bad weather games but in good weather it's actually negative affecting, quick would be the opposite of powerful. I like upredicatable as well, I have a guy or two that is and they make great plays, you simply have to accept that they also make bonehead ones too...

I'm currently second in my division, but I'm in no rush to move up, doubtful that I would...

My question is, how much money do you make at the end of the season positionwise? Would it be enough to pull me out of debt on simply be a bandaid till I get a decent prospect to sell off?

For your question, and after finding that your team is in 5th division, I found in the rules that second place earns a mere $45 000... Not sure this will get you out of the red. Keep training those keepers ;)

Well I'm only 3 points behind 1st place...so I could win anywhere from 75000 to 45000 (barring any losing streaks).

Here's another questions, I'm in V.140, does that mean if I win in V.140 (get first place) do I battle against the lowest team in V.139? Do I move up to V.139 if I win? I'm confused by this?

and no 75,000 won't get me out of debt, but any money is good money...

Here's how it's stated on the promotion page...

The winner of each league in 4th Division has a chance of being promoted to a higher division. Half of the winners (those with most points, best goal score and so forth) will be promoted without having to play a qualification game, the "worse" half will have to play qualifation games against the teams in 5th and 6th place in the division above.

Teams number 5 and 6 in each league in 4th Division have to play qualification matches in order to avoid demotion. The 7th and 8th teams will inevitably be demoted.

This comes from my league page so it talks about 4th division. The way I see it, if you win your league, you will be compared to all the other 5th divison winner (from V.1 to V.???). If your team is in the top half, you automatically get promoted. If not , then you play a qualification game against a 5th or 6th position team from 4th division (in your case)... If you wanna see where you'd stand in case of a possible promotion, you can click the
promotion link on your league standings page...

Hey Qwikshot, I found a tool on tha site where you can calculate what would be your bonus depending on your finishing position and if you got promoted or not and if you had to qualify to get promoted...
