Thread Ratings: Good, bad, or indifferent

It would makes sense that thread ratings might help someone notice a good thread even though the title or subject would not normally interest them. This could benefit threads in all sections and not just certain ones. I for one am all for turning the option on.

I think thread ratings should be turned on for the Dynasty and Strategy forums because they generally have more serious discussion.

Ok maybe I should change my opinion. Can anyone please tell me what the reasons are for turning this option off? Does it effect load times? Does it slow anything down or do any other type of damage that I am not aware of? Thanks in advance.

BTW, I don’t post in the Dynasty or Strategy sections but have had plenty of “serious” discussions in the General section.

I think it could be good in the Dynasties page. But then again, it might discourage dynasties that aren't immediately popular. So ----> I don't know.

Still looking for some reasons why this feature should be disabled. Please help me to understand. Also, why would it make any difference to have them on for one forum and not another? Thanks.
