Why does it not surprise me that some of you wouldn't be happy if I found that explanation or not. :)

Dutch, you come home REALLLLLY late one night smelling of perfume and your wife wants an explanation. You say your car got totalled and you lost your cell phone. She says that she sees your perfectly fine car in the driveway and your cell phone in your hand. You say, why does it not surprise me that you wouldn't be happy if I explained it to you or not?

So now the defense of violating the law is that the Attorney General is too busy to sign a piece of paper?I dunno, if what JG says is true, then it means their defense is that every single lawyer in his office is too busy to sign a piece of paper.

Did anyone catch this from the testimony earlier this month of Alberto Gonzales? It's still just as funny today and wasn't sure if anyone had posted it yet.
President Washington, President Lincoln, President Wilson, President Roosevelt have all authorized electronic surveillance on a far broader scale.

Oh, c'mon, we all know Washington was using Skynet both to destroy the British and keep the Americans under his thumb. He and his fellow Stonecutters, that is...

Alright, the testimony today was just outlandish....
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070726/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/congress_gonzales
He admits going to the Ashcroft in the hospital but it was about something else entirely.....then documents today show the night before, the entire discussions were about the impending end of the program....If ever Bush could make his loyalties seem more at the detriment of the people or his country, this has got to be the top. How he can think you can have the top person in the justice dept. be thought of and seen as a liar is beyond me and Im sure all sides of the Aisle, much like Specter and Schumer, can see that the guy is truly, actually in "contempt" of the Congress.
What I dont understand is, why don't the Congressman from both sides of the aisle see, together, that the Executive branch has taken and tried to take a ton of power from them? I would think that both sides would want to get the balance back no matter the party....but what the heck do I know.
