Well, I'm sure that I'll likely give this one a shot.......(new board title suggestion: "football sim junkie").

That whole video was a waste of time. I want that minute or so of my life back.

Their emphasis on the coaching aspect is starting to get a little strange. Is this even still a management game, or is it just about selecting a lineup and calling plays? You can do that in Madden already. Or does EA's marketing department just have no idea what to do with this genre? You'd think they'd at least throw in something about drafting and/or signing free agents in there.

EA is going for a market they have missed so far. If they have guys coding this like Madden's AI it will be junk.

I saw the latest Madden last weekend for the first time. Played an old friend of mine in about our 1000th game of Madden over the years. And still, an illegal shift that wasn't called. EA should figure out if their people even watch American football.

Something tells me that they probably don't give a crap if anybody on this messageboard likes it or not.

Oh yeah :D

We just recently got shot down badly in one US review in the "sounds" department cause we didn't have a soundtrack in our text sim. We scored a zero (0) in sounds because of that. And I quote: "Even a background techno track like they play on ESPN’s Sports Center would have benefited this game"

Go figure

Umm pretty stupid video to tease about a video game, just showing coaches and not anything from the game. The only good part is the Disturbed song in the video.

I know exactly which review you're referring to. Seems the reviewer also said something to the effect that EHM was for older people stuck inside and was trying to play it like it was fantasy hockey. It's a shame that this kind of garbage gets passed off as a serious review.

That brought me a question, can anybody review a game and say whatever they want? what are the limits? can the developing company take lagal actions? must they aprove the companies that review their games? just curious.

I would imagine so. As long as the review is tasteful

I removed my sound card about 3 months ago. No problems going without.

Just found this thread. I found it a little amusing how the coaches shown at and around the out-coach portion of that video have been fired.
