The first race of the Track Championship Series was an eventful. Many lead changes were happening almost every lap it seemed. 22 in all in the race. Craptacular in the #7 Hooters BMW took the pole with a nice lap around the 2 and half mile track. But he didn't hold the lead long, only leading the first two laps. Jim Bender in the #1 Pittsburgh Steelers BMW took off with the lead and was one the few people who could hold it for more than a few laps. He led for a total of 58 laps throughout the first 3 quarters of the race. Other than the lead changes, it was a quiet race until just past half way. B Cole in the #30 car got tangled up with the #32 car. Cole was knocked out of the race. The #32 car survived, but only to cause more damage. After the restart, the #32 just couldn't stay with the leaders, and this caused some problems. Nick Phillips in the #51 Mello Yello Chevy got tangled up causing a major accident along the front stretch. Phillips flipped numerous times before finally coming to a rest. 4 cars were knocked out because of that wreck. 30 laps after the big wreck, another nice sized wreck took place. This time it knocked out three drivers, Chris Snow, Kodos, and Ray Zerback. Two other cautions for minor incidents were also spread out throughout the race. With only 31 laps left, Rewbie Newsday took over the lead, and he didn't look back. Despite being part of a huge pack of cars, Newsday didn't let anyone past him. Eventually, with the help of lapped car #50 Lemke, Newsday put some distance between himself and the rest of the field and took the first win of the Track Championship Series.

The second race of TCS was even more exciting then the first. An amazing 75 lead changes took place between 21 drivers. T. Hudson in the #58 Chevy Camero took the pole for this one. But he would not even lead a lap. Around lap 20, a minor accident between #42 Bobby Mask and #24 IB Long took place on the front stretch. Only minor damage was a result. The race was fairly clean for a long stretch as lead changes happened nearly every lap. One lap someone would be leading, then the next lap they were 15th. And then they were right back up to first. A couple more caution flags flew for more minor incidents. Polesitter T. Hudson was involved in one of these causing him considerable damage, he would finish out the race, but held up many people while doing it. With, 15 laps remaining, leaders Sonny Daze and Shane Kormelink got tangled up. Both flew through the grass on the backstretch with Daze hitting the inside wall fairly hard. Both would remain in the race. The restart took place with 11 laps to go. Eric Anderson through the luck of the crashes took the lead off the restart. But he fell back quickly. Cadillac in the #78 car took the lead and looked like he was on his way to victory, but nothing was a sure thing today, Cadillac hit the outside wall off turn 4 dropping him back many spots. Then with only 2 laps remaining, lapped car #70 tanlged up with Rewbie Newsday, #81 O'Toole, and #79 Telle Snow. This caused a mad scramble to the finish line. Down the backstretch it looked like Kodos would hold off the field, but D. Wilson in the #22 car took over the top spot as he drafted with lapped car #42 Bobby Mask and won by a close margin to the line. he would take the checkered under caution. Now after two races Eric Anderson has the points lead, only 2 back is Craptacular, only 2 back of him is J. Hamilton followed by D. Wilson and S. Montgomery.

If you thought the first two races of the Track Championship Series gave you a great show. Then you were in for a treat with Race #3. Chris Cadillac in the #78 Dodge took the pole. But yet again, a polesitter struggled. Cadillac led a total of 7 laps before fading and finishing 32nd. This time, an amazing 81 lead changes took place between 24 drivers. Points leader Eric Anderson started off in 32nd, then after only 16 laps he had taken the lead only to lose it and fall back to 20th only 3 laps later. He would move his way back up through the field though. Numerous crashes were spread out through the race. 9 in all. The first major accident took place on lap 71. IB Long, T. O'Toole, Craptacular, S. Silvers, and B. Rudd all were knocked out the race from this incident. The next big crash took place on lap 105. Bobby Mask and M. Tokunaga were knocked out of the race after this wreck. Jim Bender and M. Waddams were also involved. Waddams was involved in 4 wrecks during the day and still managed to 23th only 1 lap down. As the laps wound down, the lead kept changing. With only two laps remaining. T. Elkin, W. Moore, S. Kormelink, and B. Nowell were pulling away from the pack. But as they raced down the backstretch coming to the white flag Elkin collided with Moore and then they collected Kormelink and Nowell. Sonny Daze racing in 5th took the lead, B. Fields moved into second and Daze raced back to the white flag and the yellow to take the win. Eric Anderson, after a 7th place finish continues to lead the points, 12 ahead of Joe Hamilton. S. Montgomery, Danny Wilson and V. Cressio round out the top 5.

Only two laps into the 4th race in the Track Championship Series a major wreck took place down the backstretch. Jim Bender and Ray Zerback tangled, Zerback made it through cleanly, but many others were collected. Vince Cressio flipped violently and his day was ended early. About 15 drivers were collected in the wreck, only Cressio's day was ended because of it. Things calmed down for a bit, the polesitter Dan Wilson led the first 25 laps, then lost it and would never regain it. On lap 42, S. Silvers and H. Gloss were involved in a wreck which took both out of the race. A few more wrecks would take place, on lap 99 C. Busch and J. Hamilton were taken out. Jim Bender, who was involved in the lap 2 wreck held up traffic all day long. He wound up 15 laps down and caused at least 3 of the wrecks. As the laps wound down, L. Vance and Chris Snow pulled away from the pack. They never looked back, Vance led the last 20 laps to take the victory. Eric Anderson continues to lead the points. S. Montgomery is 47 points back. Danny Wilson, Kai Collins and Rewbie Newsday round out the top 5.

The 4th race recap is up on the website and the stats are in place as well. Things are looking great! I'm working on the drivers list page and getting glamour shots of all the cars that are running.

Any idea when they'll bring the rest of the dynasty threads into teh new layout?

The #37 car of M. Waddams took the pole for the fifth race of the TCS. 77 lead changes would take place in this one. On lap 42 the first wreck took place, O'Toole, Wilson, Parsons and Lemke were taken out in this wreck. No person took a clear advantage in the race throughout until the end. Al Kaholic drafted with a lapped car and pulled away for a relatively easy win. Eric Anderson continues to lead the points.

Just to let everyone know, my computer is down yet again, this time it is looking terminal, the Hard drives are ok, so there is no loss of data, just the loss of ability6 to access it at this point. I am looking into several solutions and will do my best to get things back on track asap.

Just a quick update for all our players, My machine has died an ugly burned out motherboard death. We've ordered a new Dell system which will arrive sometime after the 13th. Once I get the machine here and install my extra hard drives and video card we will be able to get back to racing!! and posting the results =)

I appreciate the patience you've all shown with me during this!

Alrighty now folks, DELL amazingly enough has come through like a dream. My machine arrived 3 days after ordering it and was a breeze to install and upgrade with my own equipment. Beyond not shipping my flightmaster joystick with it (something I still have to contact them about) I have no complaints. In fact I am very very happy thus far.

Now down to the real good news, this weekend I will endeavor to catch up on everything that's been run thus far.

If at all possible I will run the next race in Cup while I'm at it =)

Thank you all for being so very patient with the unbelievably continuous computer problems I've had, we can hope that now they are behind us, and if this DELL fails me, we can all blame it on Hornsmaniac and stone him in the streets.

GENTLEMAN...START your ENGINES!!!!!!!!
