He's your "verbal cup of coffee," he's back on KTOK and he's in the morning drive hot seat as host of Oklahoma's First News 6-9 a.m. Cam Edwards, former night-time talk show host, former assistant news director, former television reporter, former host of The Morning Sports Zone on 930 WKY...hey, this guy's a "former" everything, so why not give him a real job? We did, and he's like a duck in water. Entertaining, informative, (sometimes) off the wall, unpredictable (are those FCC censors listening?), witty, and well-rounded (we don't call him "short and shiny" for no reason), Cam brings a fresh new sound to Oklahoma's heritage news/talk station. Raising kids? Cam's an expert...he and Elaine have a teenager, a pre-teen and a 2-1/2-year-old. Lord have mercy! If you're into politics and have heard about the Oklahoma City Gridiron presentation, you'll be amused (and amazed!) to learn that Cam is now in training to play Governor-elect Brad Henry. (Governor, we have pitched in to buy Cam a hair piece so you won't be chagrined when he takes the stage.) We'd tell you more about Cam, but this is McCarville's page, after all. CamEdwards is secretly hair-rock guitar god Yngwie Malmsteen!

He made this startling revelation after the phrase.. "You've unleahes the FU**ING FURY" was found on 400 Sports Software's Title Bout Boxing Quiz..

Malmsteen, nee CamEdwards, set up the Cam Edwards identity as a way to escape the sordid life of sex, drugs and rock and roll that even now haunts him.

"I mean.. everywhere you go.. people are badgering you.. saying... "Do you still play the guitar with your teeth?" I set up Edwards as a way to escape all of that. I mean.. I'm reasonably educated. I can talk all day on certain subjects. But nobody wants to hear about what Yngwie has to say about Iraq, or why the Fooking Red Sox can't win a world series.. But Cam Edwards.. he's a respected name!"

When asked how he pulled off the switch from Yngwie to Cam, Malmsteen/Edwards looked at this reporter and grins.. "I mean.. haven't you ever heard of hair extensions?"

Hmmm his claims to fame...

1. He is a Red Sox fan. That is more of a question of his sanity.

2. He organized a trip to North Texas to watch the Idaho Vandals who he started a fan club campaign for.
