Wow, this is gonna be a pain in the butt.

This is a hattrick dynasty. It's a free on-line game, where you take control of a soccer team. I took over a team that sucks. Really sucked. Before I took over they had an owner that must have gone AWOL, because I looked back at previous matches, and all were 5-0 losses. Slowly, bu surely I have kind of rebuilt the team. We are still not done, but we just bought our first player. I made some adjustments to the line-up, fired the old coach, brought in a new one, and hired some specialists.

Here is how my club looks like right now:
Youth Squad: passable
Investment in the Youth squad: 10 000 US$ / week

Goaltending Coaches: 1
Assistant Coaches: 3
Sport Psychologists: 1
Spokepersons: 1
Economists: 2
Physiotherapists: 2
Doctors: 2
And then my stadium which is called Spring Grove Fighting Eagles Arena. Someday I hope to change that name, but we don't have the money to do that. It's also a pretty small stadium:
Total capacity: 7005

Terraces: 5000
Basic seating: 2000
Seats under roof: 0
Seats in VIP boxes: 5

Now let's introduce the players:
The season is over, so I don't know who will be my starters next season, so I'll just give a list of the names, and their rankings: This is gonna be long

ardent then said-Our first hattrick dynasty!! Go Eagles!
I thought about this as well...but with my schedule upcoming...I would have had to cut it short.

Good luck!

Thanks ardent. Wanted to see how th roster came out. In case anyone can find a magiinfying glass to read it, otherwise trust me, we aren't that good ratings wise.

But we are getting much better. In our current division which says it is Level 5 out of 5, which I think means it's a crappy division, we put up some nice numbers. Here are the standings:

Series: V.179 (8552)

Country: USA
Level: 5 out of 5

Team Played Goals Points
1. Merpmen 14 5 - 9 24

2. Unicorns 14 25 - 19 22
3. Cougar Mountain 14 20 - 16 22
4. Fevernova 14 17 - 13 22
5. Frisco playas 14 14 - 13 21
6. Mystic Knights 14 18 - 15 19
7. Spring Grove Fighti 14 27 - 23 18
8. MinionsofDestructio 14 5 - 33 2

Sorry about the size, does anyone know how to make the font bigger?

But we are finsihed 2nd to last, but we were able to make a nice finish. We enjoyed numerous undeafeted streaks, and right now in league play we are undeafted for 4 games, and have won 2 games in a row. We also led the division in goals scored, too bad we put up about an equal amount in goals against. We have a decent young goalie who has a passable rating, but we are looking to get a better one.

the ratings go from non-exosten to divine. We also defeated the first place team 4-1 in the final game of the regualr season.

Here are the top goalscorers for the division:

Top Scorers V.179

Player Team Score
1. Will Gonzales Spring Grove Fighting Eagles 13
2. Randy Mahon Spring Grove Fighting Eagles 6
3. Billy Jung Spring Grove Fighting Eagles 4
4. Tyrell Cagle Spring Grove Fighting Eagles 1
5. Martin Maurer Spring Grove Fighting Eagles 1
6. Aaron Phelps Spring Grove Fighting Eagles 1
7. Rocky Beverly Spring Grove Fighting Eagles 1
8. Ricky Burke Frisco playas
1
9. Milan Everhart Fevernova
1
10. Daryl Vincent Fevernova
1

Again small, but hopefully someone will tell me how to make it bigger. We had the top 3 guys in goals scored, and many iothers with 1 goal scored.

Next up: Transfers

Transfers:
We have bought one player. His name is Ted Ortega who is 17 years old, and has some nice ratings.
We have curretnly listed 5 players up for sale:

Jesse Crisp
Robbie Brothers
Jamie Velasquez
Cameron Heller
Sherman Lindley

They truly suck, and I hope to make some money off of them, if I don't then I guess I will just fire them.

In our last tournament we lost in the first round to the North County Raiders, all because of Jerome Bettis, who scored a hattrick.

Our new season shoudl start shortly, but until then I will be looking for quality players, and selling off the crappy ones.

ardent then responed with:

People don't usually buy garbage in hattrick...it costs you 1k to put players on the block as well. It would probably serve you better to fire the guys outright.

We snet out a host of friendlies in hope of earing some cash. We receive an acceptance, and will play at home vs. Fevernova. They visit us from South Dakota. This could be a close game, and we hope to win, but mostly we're in it for the cash.
The guys that were transfer listed still have not hit the market, but should tomorrow.
In training we are concentrating on defense, so we hope to give up less goals next season.

ardent:

If you're in the friendlies for the cash (and who isn't?), then I'd suggest challenging foreign teams to friendlies at your place, and don't accept international friendlies to theirs. International matches bring in more fans. It also helps your players gain experience a little quicker.
Rodney

me:

I continue my search for a decent keeper. I have one at passable, but I would like to upgrade to a better one, but if I can't then oh well.
The off-season is kinda boring. I guess I'll give my training page.
Right now we run a 4-3-3.
Here are the fromation expierinece:
Formation experience
4-3-3: excellent
4-5-1: disastrous
3-5-2: disastrous
5-3-2: disastrous
3-4-3: wretched
5-4-1: disastrous
4-4-2: Always excellent.

Here's my training:
Training

Training Level: 95%
Training Type: Defending
Coach: Kevin Mace
Team Spirit: composed
Confidence: wonderful

I have no clue when the season starts. but hopefully soon. I'm looking forward to my friendly, as I am trying a Lester Proctor at goalie, instead of Neil Duggan. Duggan played well witha ,ower raitng, so I hope Proctor will do even better.
I'm also trying my newly aquired player, Ted Ortega, at Right Winger, and he will be used as an extra forward.

So right now here is my starting line-up for the game against Fernova:
Keeper: Lester Procter
Right Back: Tom Sheets
Central Defender: Victor Brown
Central Defender: Thomas Heath
Left Back: Rocky Beverly
Right winger: Ted Ortega (extra forward)
Inner Midfield: Billy Jung
Inner Midfield: Martin Maurer (offensive)
Left Winger: Aaron Phelps
Forward: Randy Mahon
Forward Will Gonzales

Set Pieces: Will Gonzales
Sub Keeper: Neil Duggan
Captain: Martin Maurer
Sub Def: Carlton Wilson
Sub Inner Midfield: Jefferson Enriquez
Sub Forward: Wesly Chappel
Sub Winger: Marshall Foote

Team Attitude: Normal

The match will be on 12/5/02
FOFC members have 4 VIP boxes reserved, and the sponsors have 1. We have a promoional give-away as well. Will Gonzales Bobble-heads to the first 1000 fans.

November 28, 2002
Spring Grove- Today at a press conference Spring Grove Fighting Eagles owner, Daniel Ertmann, sacked 18 year old Otto Gabriel. Who upon hearing that he was released form the team attempted to rob a liquor store, and was shot 4 times in the back. He is in critical condition at a local hospital. Right now he will not be playing soccer for 10 weeks, at least. Ertmann said, "We felt that we didn't need him, and that he wsn't all that good, so we released him, and hope he gets picked up by a weaker team."
Gabriel was promoted from the Eagles youth squad on 10/14/02.
The word on the street is that the Eagles are in debt, and are looking to gain as much money as possible. When asked abuot this Ertmann had no comment.
Daer Solwau- Chigago Tribune

Well we, get good news.
No it's not any of our god-awful players getting bid on. No they just hit they market.
Good news, this week even without a game, we were still able to pul a profit. It's minimal, but I'll take it.
This week we make 4,421 dollars. I'm happy and next week should be more with our game. Yay!

ardent:

If you don't mind, I'd like to post a little about my team as well...?
Do you mind? I can start a different thread...but when I go out to sea, it's hard (read: I don't do it) for me to update the info.

me:

My mistake on the transfers, they didnt just hit the market, they were lifted off from it. I thought you had to wait three days for your players to become available, but it's actually three dasy taht they are on it. Sorry.
But right back on track, I don't want to pay these guys so I will ifre them.
These players will no longer be a part of the Spring Grove Fighting Eagles:
Jesse Crisp
Robbie Brothers
Jamie Velasquez
Cameron Heller
Sherman Lindley

Now here's a little info on each one that I am firing.
Jesse Crisp:
No career goals
$590 weekly wage is gone

Robbie Brothers:
No career goals
$530 weekly wage is gone

Jamie Velasquez:
No career goals
$500 weekly wage is gone

Cameron Heller:
No career goals
And here's a happier note
$860 weekly wage is gone

Sherman Lindley:
No career goals
$550 weekly wage is gone

This leaves with 21 players, but some more money in te long run. I look to improve my midfield more, as in almost every game we saw that that midfield's permormance was disaterous.

Our defense is good, but I want them to be better, going on the philosophy that defense wins championships.

Just a minro update. I changed my weekly investment in the youth squad from 10 000 a week to 20 000 a week. Here's hoping to some good youth players.

Well this is weird, I went ot my economy, and it says the sponsores are in VIP section. Apparently I have a match going on, but it's not the friendly. Weird.
One bad thing is that This week's expected profit has turned south with my change in youth team investment.

Now it is -5 579. I'm nearing going 200,000 is debt. Which is something I don't want to do.

ardent:

I've been as far as 300k in debt, and now with the recent cash influx, I'm going to be at 159k in debt. I haven't seen that in months.

Can't explain why the supporters were in the VIP section if you didn't have a game. Maybe they were there watching the big Raiders match on the big screen.

me:

We have another league game added to our schedule.
It's going to be Merpman @ Spring Grove

We also had 11 new supporters signed up and paid 330 US$ in fees.
This brings our grand total up to 784 members. We have a passable youth squad, I want to go another week before I call up a youth player.

Our game against Fernova is tomorrow. We will be in our traditional 4-3-3. I really think taht we have a chance, and would like to win a game for the home fans.
Well that's all I have for you now. Tomorrow look for the match summary of the game against fernova, and the Pepsi Blue Player of the Game!!!* Come out and see us in our dazzling new unis, Navy Blue shirt, with white shorts. This will be our Home uniform. Our away will be White top, Navy blue shorts.

* This award is decided by me.

Well we played our game against Fernova tonight. Did not go well.
here's the game summary:

At Spring Grove Fighting Eagles Arena, 564 punters turned up, and despite threatening clouds at the horizon, no rain came. Fighting had chosen a strategic 4-3-3 formation. They fielded: Proctor - Sheets, Brown, Heath, Beverly - Jung, Maurer, Phelps - Mahon, Gonzales, Ortega.

Fevernova had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Nowak - Gillis, Moss, Reece - Fernández, Guidry, Everhart, Sinclair, Still - Ferguson, Vincent.

Fevernova had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially in the 11th minute when Daryl Vincent came up alone against Lester Proctor who managed a block. Fevernova´s Luther Moss left the field after 13 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was Matt Stroud. Fevernova took the lead after 15 minutes with 0 - 1. Johnson Still placed the ball out of reach for the home sides keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. In the games 20:th minute Fevernova´s Paul Gillis fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. The referee, however booked Paul Gillis for taking a dive. Some fine manouvering on the left lead to an 24:th minute Fevernova goal, making it 0 - 2. Jeffrey Ferguson was noted down as the scorer. In the game's 26:th minute Fevernova´s Ernesto Fernández limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. 0 - 2 was the half-time score. Fevernova held the ball, with a clear 68 percent possession rate.

The away team´s Jeffrey Ferguson took advantage of a mistake to the home side´s right in the 61st minute increasing Fevernova´s lead to 0 - 3. In the 67:th minute Fevernova put themselves up 0 - 4 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. Scorer was Gil Sinclair. Fevernova came close to extending their lead as Paul Gillis delivered a long range shot from the right but the angle was to sharp, and the shot hit the side of the goal. Victor Brown of Fighting received a yellow card in the 77:th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Fevernova, with an impressive 72 percent possession of the ball.

The most dominating Fighting player was without a doubt Randy Mahon. Billy Jung on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Fevernova player was without a doubt Eli Reece. Milan Everhart on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 4.

Here's what our crowd consisted of:

Terraces: 395
Basic seats: 164
Seats under roof: 0
VIP seats: 5

And here are our positional ratings:

Midfield: disastrous
Right Side Defence: inadequate
Central Defence: passable
Left Side Defence: inadequate
Right Side Attack: poor
Central Attack: inadequate
Left Side Attack: inadequate

Again ou rmidfield is killing us. ortega manaaged to get a star in the player rating screen.

Here's how it went for our team:

Lester Proctor: 1 1/2 stars
Tom sheets: 1 1/2 stars
Victor Brown: 1 1/2 stars
Thomas Heath: 1 1/2 stars
Rockey beverley: 1 1/2 stars

Midfield:
Ted Ortega: 1 star
Billy Jung: 1 star
Martin Maurer: 1 star
Aaron Phelps: 2 stars

Attakc:
Randy Mahon: 2 1/2 stars
Will GOnzales: 1 star

Player of the Game goes to Randy Mahon!

Overall I 'm disappointed. I really thought we had a chance.....

Our next game, I will be calling up an outfiel dplayer form the youth squad. If he is sutiable I will take a look over my roster again and see who I can get in there. I was impressed with Lector, and despite him giving up 4 goals, when your defense is sucking it can get kinda hard. I just hope this isnt a preview of what pur season is going to look like.

In the economic department we earned 1 332 dollars from this match.

I'm going to be training to Playmaking and hopefully fix this teams inept playing at midfield.

I will be looking to challenge an international team to a friendly next week.

Coming soon:
Who is the new youth player, and is he any good?

Well, 11 new supporters signed up and paid 330 dollars in fees. This brings our total to 795 supporters.

And now what we've all been waiting for (well me at least, no know if anyone other than HFP, and ardent read this ;) )

And now here is the newest addition to the Spring Grove Eagles:

James Biggs
19 years, passable form, healthy

A popular guy who is tranquil and dishonest.
Has disastrous experience and passable leadership abilities.

Nationality: USA
Assessed value: 5 000 US$
Wage: 520 US$/week
Owner: Spring Grove Fighting Eagles
Warnings: 0

Ratings:

Stamina: weak Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: weak Passing: poor
Winger: poor Defending: weak
Scoring: wretched Set Pieces: poor

Overall looks like I'm going to keep him. He'll probably be a sub for Midfield, I'm happy, youth club is still developing, and he's a decent all-around player.

ardent then humped the thread.

Thanks ardent.
It's been quiet until today.

We had our first league game, which we won pretty easily. Here's the match report

6928 spectators arrived at Spring Grove Fighting Eagles Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Fighting had chosen a strategic 4-3-3 formation. Lineup: Proctor - Sheets, Brown, Heath, Beverly - Maurer, Enriquez, Phelps - Mahon, Gonzales, Ortega.

MinionsofDestructio had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. They fielded: Lacey - Correa, Zimmer, Knowles, Schmidt - Carrington, Archuleta, Flood, Kaplan - Garvin, Hardy.

Some beautiful plays on the left side of the field resulted in a 17:th minute goal by Jefferson Enriquez for Fighting, putting them ahead 1 - 0. A couple of quick and successful challenges, followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area after 23 minutes might have resulted in another goal for Fighting. However, Shawn Lacey made a spectacular save. The visitors almost came back with an equaliser in the 26:th minute after a good combination down the middle, but as Wilburn Garvin was to put closure on the raid he couldn´t deliver a shot hard enough to seriously challenge the keeper. MinionsofDestructios Franklin Zimmer got himself booked after a foul. 34 minutes into the game MinionsofDestructio´s Stephen Kaplan found a gap in the home sides central defense scoring with a long shot, making it 1 - 1. 1 - 1 was the half-time score. Fighting held the ball, with a clear 56 percent possession rate.

Randy Mahon gave his Fighting the lead with 2 - 1, as he successfully challenged both the guests central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the goaltenders right post. In the game's 76:th minute MinionsofDestructio´s Stephen Kaplan limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. In the 76:th minute of the match the visitors central line of defence had to look on as Tom Sheets dashed through, knocking home 3 - 1 for Fighting. After an industrious effort down the middle Will Gonzales could have finished the game off in the 80:th minute, but the shot ending the attack hit the post. Fighting put their lead ahead another goal as Will Gonzales struck home the 4 - 1 goal, after an attack from the left setting him up unmarked with the keeper. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Fighting, with an impressive 55 percent possession of the ball.

The most dominating Fighting player was without a doubt Randy Mahon. However, Ted Ortega made a disastrous appearance. Most important MinionsofDestructio player was Shawn Lacey. Ed Hardy on the other hand, had a terrible day.

We also pulled up a youth player, as our youth team is now rated solid.

Here's his numbers

Stamina: inadequate Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: inadequate Passing: poor
Winger: inadequate Defending: weak
Scoring: passable Set Pieces: wretched

We immediatly put him up for transfer.

Right away he gets a bid from the Bersekers for $50 000. And then I come bakc and i see this:

Berserkers offered 100 000 CHF for Rodolfo Ocaña and thereby took the lead in the bidding.
They were already winning, and the bid is the same as before, so if anyone knows what this means, please tell.

We schedule a friendly fro a game @ the Mokan Mighty Bastards.

The economy

Economy

Cash funds: -233 121 US$ (-241 944) US$

That's all for now, and I'll be posting up soemthing new soon. (Don't knwo what, but figure something has to happen)

Also I had this puppy on delay because I am going through finals week, and I'm a freshman, but have gotten some experience casue I took a HS class in eigth grade. Last 2 finals are tommorow, and then it's winter break.

ardent:

That garbage that they displayed is the cash system they use in the buyer's country. For example, Bobby Jackson's buyer came from Mexico. He bid 960,000 pesos. I got a $96,000 US for it.
I know your confusion...Imagine seeing someone bid 2,300,00 kr for one of your players...to find out it's really just 230,00K US.

You ever get stumped on something, don't hesitate...let me know.

Remember that youth pull that I said I wa gonna keep. I lied. :o ;)

That's right today I put James Biggs up for sale.

His ratings:

Stamina: weak Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: weak Passing: poor
Winger: poor Defending: weak
Scoring: wretched Set Pieces: poor

His accessed value is 5,000, but I'm gonna bump it up to maybe 45 000 as he is cheaper than some of the shitty players on my team, so I figure I'll try to get more.

No bids for James Biggs yet, but good ole Rodolfo had himself another bidder.
Fitchburg has put down $51,000 on him, and therefores takes the lead.

The deadline for his transfer is at 23:31, in their time. It syas it is 14:56.

So the deadline is nearing.

Rodolfo is gone, and he would be sold to:
Chinaguyville

They offered $53,000, and took away a decent player, and made me happy.

This makes our cash funds here:

Cash funds: -194 184 US$ (-228 151) US$

So we're slowly, very slowly climbing our way up to a comfortable level of debt.

James Biggs is still bidless.

Of the $53,000, I recieved 48 760 US$.

Furious is bad...bad...bad. You need to either fire your coach (not desirable), or you need to play a few matches in the "play it cool" mode.

I'd be more than happy to schedule you in. You should play at my place, though. More buck for your bang...intentionally changed that saying up, btw.

I don't see why you think that youth pull is exceptional. Weak isn't all that to talk about. Inadequate is almost ok. I don't expect you to get any bids on this guy.

Don't worry, though. Your youth pulls are bound to get better with time. I went through a long time before I got some good players like DJ, Muniz, Bobby Kennedy, and now, Stan Dorsey (103,000!!).

Thanks ardent.

Another question

What do the coaches ratings mean?

We call up another player:

Brendon Mabry (7262506)
17 years, passable form, healthy

A sympathetic guy who is temperamental and upright.
Has disastrous experience and poor leadership abilities.

Nationality: USA
Assessed value: 3 000 US$
Wage: 500 US$/week
Owner: Spring Grove Fighting Eagles
Warnings: 0

Stamina: poor Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: poor Passing: poor
Winger: poor Defending: weak
Scoring: wretched Set Pieces: inadequate

He will be transfer listed for $4,000.

And a huge change happens today.

Here it is:

Kevin Mace was fired today, it costs us 10 000, though.

But our spirit is now back to content.

Here's the coach.

Simon Grove (7262540)
50 years, disastrous form, healthy
A poor coach who goes all out
A sympathetic guy who is balanced and honest.
Has formidable experience and poor leadership abilities.

ardent:

I'd fire the coach again. The only rating I worry about myself is the " A X coach..." Where X = whatever. I'd shoot for passable or solid, and I'd keep firing until I got one.
I know a problem for you is cash flow. You may want to wait until you get that taken care of before you go fire the coach again, in fact, I'd suggest it.

I believe Matt Wing is a passable coach for me.

Others here may have ideas on what the other ratings mean, but I really don't worry myself at all about that.

Hope this helps. I'll be off and on until the 30th. I'm at my in-laws, so it's kind of rude to sit on their pc all day.

We had a match on Sunday, and we lost. Close game. Here's the match report:
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 5604 to Unicorns Arena. Unicorns started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. They fielded: Schumacher - Castle, Dunning, Swenson, Taylor - Canfield, Lovell, Timmons, Collier - Pullen, Hoff.

Fighting had chosen a strategic 4-3-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Proctor - Sheets, Brown, Heath, Beverly - Jung, Maurer, Phelps - Mahon, Gonzales, Ortega.

In the 3rd minute cheers broke out as Johnnie Hoff found his way through the guests central defense line, clipping the 1 - 0 goal in for Unicorns. Tony Lovell of Unicorns received a yellow card in the 12th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. With 30 minutes played Ronald Pullen could have brought this one home for Unicorns, had his hooked ball gone in, but it went just a bit too high. Unsportsmanlike behaviour by Tony Lovell rendered him his second booking of the match, and Unicorns had to finish the game with a reduced squad. 1 - 0 was the half-time score. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Unicorns, with an impressive 56 percent possession of the ball.

The visitors almost came back with an equaliser in the 48:th minute after a good combination down the middle, but as Victor Brown was to put closure on the raid he couldn´t deliver a shot hard enough to seriously challenge the keeper. Ted Ortega of Fighting received a yellow card in the 48:th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Unicorns held the ball, with a clear 54 percent possession rate.

The most dominating Unicorns player was without a doubt Will Collier. Brian Dunning on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Fighting player was without a doubt Randy Mahon. Billy Jung was a disappointment, however.

We have a friednly on Wednesday vs. Mokan.

Nothing much to report. The season is to early to really get the standings. All teams have only played 2 games, so we're tied for 3rd with a lot of other teams.

Well another disappointing loss. Again 1-0.
Match report:

415 spectators arrived at MoKan Mighty Bastards Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Bastards tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. They fielded: Macon - Deloach, Carver, Conn, Currier - Dixon, Huey, Chastain, Alba, Singh - Coats.

Fighting tactics involved an interesting 4-3-3 combination. The following players had been chosen: Proctor - Sheets, Brown, Heath, Phelps - Chappel, Enriquez, Beverly - Mahon, Gonzales, Ortega.

After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Bastards´s Ismael Alba got himself booked. When Ismael Alba made yet another studs first tackle, in the games 9th minute, the referee was obliged to book the Bastards player for the second time, sending him off the pitch. The Fighting player was Ted Ortega who had to be helped off the pitch, unable to finish the game. Bastards had obvious problems in finding their positions. Evan Huey of Bastards received a yellow card in the 22nd minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. In the game's 22nd minute Bastards´s Albert Macon limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. In the 34:th minute Bastardss Dan Singh received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The teams went for a half-time break at 0 - 0. Bastards, bringing the final ball possession rate to 71 percent, dominated the battle.

The Bastards players spent the half-time break getting a rerun of the teams tactical organization. After a fine move down the middle Evan Huey nearly gave the home side one up in the 49:th minute. The finishing shot went just wide, though. Some beautiful plays on the left side of the field resulted in a 50:th minute goal by Dan Singh for Bastards, putting them ahead 1 - 0. Bastards seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion about the organization of the team. Bastards held the ball, with a clear 79 percent possession rate.

Bastards´s best player was Albert Macon. Junior Deloach on the other hand, had a terrible day. Fighting´s best player was Randy Mahon. Wesley Chappel on the other hand, had a terrible day.

As usual Mahon is our best player.
I decided to give a different line-up than usual, and I started Chappel.

Unfortunatly also Ted Ortega who was injured is out for I'm guessing 2 weeks.
(He has the red medical sign, and a 2 next to it)

From that match we recieved $1100 in cash. We also got one new supporter to bring our toal to 817.

Next up we the Merpmen at home for a league game, and then the North COunty Raiders for a friendly.

The BASTARDS!

Well in my quest for more money, I am transfer listing 32 year old Thomas Heath. Billy Jung will replace him.

Here's Thomas's ratings:

Stamina: poor Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: inadequate Passing: inadequate
Winger: passable Defending: passable
Scoring: inadequate Set Pieces: disastrous

His accessed vaklue is $38,000, but I'm thinking of bumping it to $45,000. I'm going to wait to put him up until I can hopefully get some advise frm other hattrickers.

1. He has 2 passabe ratings in defense, and winger. Which position shuold I list him in?

2. What do you think of my starting price, too high, too low, or just right? I need to get the msot possible money out of this.

Thanks in advance. :)

Coffee Warlord:

List him as a wingback.
If you ask me, although my experience in this game is even less than yours, I'd bet you'll NEVER get 40k for him. Guy's too old.

DataKing:

Yes, this guy is definitely a wing back.
As far as listing him on the transfer market goes, there are a couple of things to consider. First, he is 32 years old. This means that he is a short-term solution, no matter what team ends up with him. And people are not going to pay a lot for a short-term solution. I doubt you would get more than $20,000 or $25,000. But strange things happen on the transfer market sometimes. If you happen to get a couple of managers with short tempers that want him, the price could rise quickly. But don't count on it.

Also, consider his value to your team as a backup. At what price would you be willing to let him go. Decent backups are nice to have in case of injury or suspension to a starter. But if your financial situation is really desperate, you might list him low and just see what happens.

Also, bear in mind that it costs $1,000 just to list a player on the market.

A win in convincing fashion as we brutalize the Merpmen. 4-1. Here's the match report.

At Spring Grove Fighting Eagles Arena, 6520 punters turned up, and despite threatening clouds at the horizon, no rain came. Fighting tactics involved an interesting 4-3-3 combination. They fielded: Proctor - Sheets, Brown, Heath, Beverly - Mahon, Jung, Phelps - Maurer, Foote, Gonzales.

Merpmen started off with a incomprehensible 4-2-4 lineup. Lineup: Godard - Burkett, Brooks, Slater, Holtz - Thrasher, Ogle - Stout, Jackson, Hare, Nance.

Will Gonzales gave his Fighting the lead with 1 - 0, as he successfully challenged both the guests central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the goaltenders right post. Victor Brown sailed high, high above the opponents as he headed the 2-0 in after a corner kick after 15 minutes of play. In the 20:th minute Fighting´s Marshall Foote tried to nail the coffin shut, but the shot rebounded off the bar to fall behind the net. A great save by goaltender Etienne Godard in the 22nd minute kept the visitors in the game as Martin Maurer struck from the left with a real cannonball. Merpmen had obvious problems in finding their positions. Fighting´s Marshall Foote had an excellent opportunity in the 28:th minute, shooting on a through ball, but he missed the goal by miles! 2 - 0 was the half-time score. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Fighting, with an impressive 89 percent possession of the ball.

Merpmen -coach had an extra briefing during the break, and after that his players looked a lot more organized. In the 71st minute of the match the visitors central line of defence had to look on as Thomas Heath dashed through, knocking home 3 - 0 for Fighting. The structure of the game started to change as Fighting decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. Merpmen had obvious problems in finding their positions. Victor Brown was suffering from cramps and had big difficulties keeping up as the opponentes pushed forward. Irvin Burkett had no problems getting through and hit home the 3 - 1 goal. A great save by goaltender Etienne Godard in the 87:th minute kept the visitors in the game as Martin Maurer struck from the left with a real cannonball. A bit later, a magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Fighting´s Randy Mahon putting the lead up to 4 - 1. Fighting held the ball, with a clear 83 percent possession rate.

The most dominating Fighting player was without a doubt Tom Sheets. Billy Jung was a disappointment, however. Merpmen´s best player was Ivan Holtz. Samuel Slater was a disappointment, however.

I gave Jung his job back and this is how he repays me.

I think player of the game goes Tom Sheets. He had a 2 start performance, which is good for me.

Unfortunatly our midfield was still disastarous. We havent gotten better at there at all. I'm impressed by our central attack which has been inadegquate the last two games. The rest were weak or poor.

Old Thomas Heath hits the market today with an asking rpice of $28,000.

Our youth pull this week, hopefully something good, is not.He wmight play a little defense against North COunty.
Miguel Angel Cortés

For our next game we travel to Missouri to play North County. We will be playing it cool against NC, and this will hopefully unirritate our players.

Right now we are tied for 2nd in our division. It's still to early to really care, but it looks as though the Frisco Players will be dominating.

Next up in league play we take on the COugar Mounta.

Well, I log in at 10:00 after babysitting for 4 hours.
Well, I am surprised to see all these under my team at the beginning:

North County Raiders has challenged you

NE Oklahoma Sidekicks has challenged you

Retrievers raises for Thomas Heath

New York FC raises for Thomas Heath

Retrievers raises for Thomas Heath

Siemianowiczanka raises for Thomas Heath

Siemianowiczanka raises for Thomas Heath

MoKan Mighty Bastards has challenged you

Some of those are old, and are still there for some reason.
But the Thomas HEtah raisings I like.

But first our match up with NC Raiders. Here's the match report:

All I can say is ouch.

1303 spectators arrived at North County Raiders Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Raiders started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. Lineup: Mcintosh - Evans, Tripp, Leal - Crouse, Castle, Kennedy, Hartley - Betts, Brown, James.

Fighting had chosen a strategic 4-3-3 formation. They fielded: Proctor - Sheets, Brown, Heath, Beverly - Jung, Maurer, Phelps - Chappel, Mahon, Gonzales.

Raiders took the lead in the 5:th minute of the game by 1 to 0, as Nelson Kennedy elegantly received a pass going deep, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. Jerome Betts increased Raiderss lead to 2 - 0 by putting a header away on a hooked ball from the right. In the 10:th minute of the match the visitors central line of defence had to look on as Oscar Castle dashed through, knocking home 3 - 0 for Raiders. Raiders put themselves up 4 - 0 when Nelson Kennedy broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. After 25 minutes Jack Brown put Raiders ahead 5 - 0 as he rose to head in a hooked ball, the result of an effort from the right side. Raiders had obvious problems in finding their positions. Halftime score was 5 - 0. Raiders held the ball, with a clear 85 percent possession rate.

The Raiders players spent the half-time break getting a rerun of the teams tactical organization. 5 - 1 was a funny story: the seemingly nonchalant lob from Fighting´s Martin Maurer landed at the feet of Randy Mahon who sent it into the net - goal! After 49 minutes Oscar Castle put Raiders ahead 6 - 1 as he rose to head in a hooked ball, the result of an effort from the right side. The structure of the game started to change as Raiders decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. The referee showed Raiderss Ren Leal the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Due to a severely mistimed tackle,Billy Jung spent some on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. Fighting´s Tom Sheets refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon in the 66:th minute. Raiders had obvious problems in finding their positions. Raiders put themselves up 7 - 1 when Martin Evans broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. Oscar Castle increased Raiderss lead to 8 - 1 by putting a header away on a hooked ball from the right. At that, Oscar Castle was noted down for a hat trick. Victor Brown of Fighting received a yellow card in the 75:th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Ren Leal received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly, probably out of lack of experience, in the 79:th minute and almost caused an opponent to score. Raiders held the ball, with a clear 91 percent possession rate.

The most dominating Raiders player was without a doubt Roosevelt Mcintosh. However, Michael Tripp made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Fighting player was without a doubt Randy Mahon. Wesley Chappel was a disappointment, however.

8-1.

Again Chappel disappoints, and we may look at transfer listing him, or giving him more time before he starts.

Player of the Game is Mahon, who scored our only goal.

Now we look at the cash Heath is bringing in:

$29 440 . Not that much, but I am satisfied, considering his age.

We don't have anyoen challanging us, so we'll probaly be sending a few out.

Coffee Warolord:

Consider yourself challenged by the Avengers.

me:

Consider it accepted.

We have a friendly scheduled against the Avengers, and it will be at our house. And after that 8-1 drubbing ardent gave us, your lucky not to be the first team playing us.
This week in economics we actually made a profit. (Thanks to Thomas Heath)

Unless I do something thsi is how the economics will look. -239 990 US$ (-215 876) US$

The first is the one we have now, and the second is what it will be after the week.

And as much as I hate to do this, changes must be made to our roster, and we will either be realeasing, or transfer listing some of our better players, as our expenses each week are a little over 78,000.

So the players on the bubble list:

Billy Jung-useless ratings, but a lot of inadequate. (Hope a new team will pick him up)

Clarence Moore-He has a passable rating in set pieces, and winger.

Jefferson Enriquez- Passable rating in playmaking, inadequates in winger and scoring.

Lester proctor- passable rating in keeper, and excellent in stamina. Value 114,000. (Only reason is the value)

Ted Ortega- Passables in playmaking and stamina, weak as a winger, and poor as scoring. (He'll get a few more chances, but he has to perform)

Wesley Chappel- Passables in stamina and playmaking, solid at set pieces. (Again he'll have a few more chances in friendlies)

My next few youth call-ups will be as keepers, as I want to get a replacement for Proctor, so I could hopefully sell him off.

Now a question to all.
The next youth call up will be a keeper. Now should I kind of sort through the garbage, taht I'm sure to get, and fire/transfer list until I get someone suitable?

Or shoudl I keep the first one, and groom him?

If you're going to go about it the keeper way, then I would try and train goal keepers. It's not a bad way to go about it...you're eventually going to get a great one if you always pull them, and you'll be able to sell off any keeper you get that's inadequate for at least 10k. I say any keeper you get w/ inadequate keeper skills I'd sell.

Well it's that time of the week. Time for our youth call-up. It will be a keeper this time. Let's hope that he is good, so that if he isn't as good as our other keepers, we will be able to sell him.

Date: 1/6/2003 at 01:00
MatchID: 4597835
Arena: Spring Grove Fighting Eagles Arena
Crowd: 7005

7005 spectators had come to Spring Grove Fighting Eagles Arena this cloudy day. Fighting tactics involved an interesting 4-3-3 combination. The following players had been chosen: Proctor - Foote, Jung, Sheets, Beverly - Enriquez, Ortega, Phelps - Mahon, Maurer, Moore.

Mountain tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. Lineup: Pitts - Gordon, Rapp, Henderson, Williams - Guerrero, Diaz, Crain, Kim - Pando, Shorter.

Marshall Foote hit the ball just perfect in the 3rd minute and could score for Fighting with a fab long shot to 1 - 0. Fighting put their lead ahead another goal as Jefferson Enriquez struck home the 2 - 0 goal, after an attack from the left setting him up unmarked with the keeper. Christopher Williams behaved like an inexperienced youth player in the 3rd minute by passing an opponent. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. In the 21st minute of the match the visitors central line of defence had to look on as Billy Jung dashed through, knocking home 3 - 0 for Fighting. The structure of the game started to change as Fighting decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. Jefferson Enriquez almost managed to score another goal for Fighting, but his header was tipped to a corner by the visitors goalie. The teams went for a half-time break at 3 - 0. Fighting held the ball, with a clear 64 percent possession rate.

The home side´s Martin Maurer came close to extending the lead in the 49:th minute. His shot came in off the right hand side but Dave Pitts managed saving with a fingernail. Fightings Ted Ortega got himself booked after a foul. Tom Sheets almost managed to score another goal for Fighting, but his header was tipped to a corner by the visitors goalie. Fighting held the ball, with a clear 71 percent possession rate.

The most dominating Fighting player was without a doubt Randy Mahon. Jefferson Enriquez on the other hand, had a terrible day. Mountain´s best player was Dave Pitts. Tom Henderson on the other hand, had a terrible day.

We sold out. Also you can tell it's good when your worst player scored one goal, and almost nabbed a second one.

okay, it's bakc up.

The team is undefeated for 2 competition games and has 2 wins in a row

Right after the last game we gained 12 new supporters who signed up and paid 360 US$ in fees.

We also made $32,100 from the match on Sunday.

Right now, if we don't transfer list, fire, or do anything else to up the expenses, we will end the week losing 2,662 dollars. But we do have a game on Wed. which should put us close to breaking even.

Our supporter club is at 851 members.

Also on the bubble is Victor Brown who is solid at defending, but not starting. So he might get listed, his accessed value is $57,000.

ardent:

Very old in the tooth. Not to mention his value...I wouldn't think you'd get too much for that guy at all. I'm totally surprised a solid defender isn't starting...if mybestteam suggested that, then I would put the solid defender on the block. He'd get more interest just out of being solid.

So I should be able to get some dough outta Brown, and Chappel, I should be able to get at least 10,000 out of. After all I did get 29,000 out of Heath who was passable in playmaking, and was 32 years old.

Well, i tired going on the offensive. I learned something. I'ma defensive team, and should never have a guy gong offensive. ;)

We lose 5-1 to the Avengers.

Crowd: 495

495 spectators had found their way to Spring Grove Fighting Eagles Arena, despite the heavy rain. Fighting had chosen a strategic 4-3-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Proctor - Foote, Jung, Sheets, Beverly - Enriquez, Ortega, Phelps - Mahon, Maurer, Moore.

Galesburg started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Thomas - Croom-Carter, Meek, Schrader - Otero, Oskarsson, Maddox, Hammond, de Kok - Pierre, Street.

25 minutes into the game Elliott Hammond was a hair´s breadth away from giving Galesburg the lead. A prompt block by Lester Proctor saved the home team that time. The terraces were silenced in the 27:th minute as Galesburg´s Johnny Pierre put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack from the right. Seemingly due to lack of experience, Inge Oskarsson needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. After 33 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Elliott Hammond who increased Galesburg´s lead to 0 - 2. Some fine manouvering on the left lead to an 37:th minute Galesburg goal, making it 0 - 3. Paul Street was noted down as the scorer. Fighting's Clarence Moore scored 1 - 3 by shooting accurately and hard from a long distance, leaving the opponent goalie no other option than to pick up the ball from the net. After the ball got lifted in from the left Pim de Kok was on his own in the home side´s penalty area 42 minutes into the game, and should have scored, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. The teams went for a half-time break at 1 - 3. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Galesburg, with an impressive 67 percent possession of the ball.

In the 49:th minute the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 4 as Elliott Hammond finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. The structure of the game started to change as Galesburg decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. Some fine manouvering on the left lead to an 50:th minute Galesburg goal, making it 1 - 5. Paul Street was noted down as the scorer. Johnny Pierre was, after 56 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors lead with a well placed diving header but home side keeper Lester Proctor saved. Paul Street came close to extending the visitors lead as he, completely unmarked in front of the goal, lifted a ball over Lester Proctor, hitting the bar. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Galesburg, with an impressive 67 percent possession of the ball.

Fighting´s best player was Randy Mahon. However, Jefferson Enriquez made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Galesburg player was without a doubt Inge Oskarsson. However, Johnny Pierre made a disastrous appearance.

He is from Oceania and has some decent stats. He is getting old however, and is 28. I hope we can get at least one bid for him.

From this match we make a measly $1,168. On Sunday we play a tough Frisco playas team. They were demoted from D4, and I expect us to lose. I hope we can win or draw, but it's unlikely. My players know it, I know it, everyone knows it. :( I hope it is at least close.

New to the transfer rumors is Rocky beverly. He is a 26 year old who is passable in playmaking and defending. Solid on set pieces. He could fetch us some money. And we would have Brown to replace him. But I know ardent wil come and say something, and soon I'll be seeling him for 20,000. ;) ;) j/k. ;) But I won't listen. $50,000 would be what I'm asking at the start. It's 10,000 down form his value.

vexroid:

From what I've read, any time you only have 3 midfielders and the other team has 5, most likely you will lose.

ardent:

433? Are you nuts? That's close to suicide against a 352. I'm not sure I'd go with anything but 5 midfielders, regardless of their abilities...if I had to pull three guys off the stands and put them in there, I think I probably would.

ME:

Well, it's a new week. We say goodbye to Wesley Chappel who was sold for $12,000 to Alperosene, a Norwegian team. We have a match against Friso tomorrow. I have decided against going with a goalie youth player. So this week I promote (please be good or at least decent). THANK YOU HATTRICK!!! FINALLY THE HATTRICK GODS HAVE SMILED UPON ME!!!!.

Let's all welcome our newest best player:

Tom Sanders
19 years, passable form, healthy

A pleasant guy who is balanced and righteous.
Has disastrous experience and poor leadership abilities.

Speciality: Powerful

He is easily the highest valued player on my team at a ripe $221,000. And best of all he's a good old American.

Stamina: poor Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: passable Passing: solid
Winger: weak Defending: solid
Scoring: poor Set Pieces: passable

The bets thing is that I can now sell Victor Brown. Sanders will most likely make his debut tomorrow against Frisco.

2 solids, 2 passables. He can play defense, or midfield.

Thank You Youth Club!!!!

here is our we we will look against Frisco tomorrow:

Keeper: Proctor
Right back: Marshall Foote
Central Defender: Tom Sanders
central defender: Tom Sheets
Left back: Rocky beverly
Right Winger: Clarence Moore (Extra Forward)

Inner Midifield: Jefferson Enriquez
Left Winger: Aaron phelps
Forward: Randy mahon
Forward: Martin Mauer

Subs:
Keeper: Duggan
Bef: Brown

Match Summary against Frisco:

Crowd: 7431

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and The bay stadium saw a crowd turnout of 7431. Frisco had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Torres - Drew, Walters, Christie, Erickson - Thanh-Linh, Akers, Burke, Schaeffer - Mcmillan, Raymond.

Fighting had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. They fielded: Proctor - Foote, Sheets, Sanders, Beverly - Moore, Enriquez, Ortega, Phelps - Mahon, Maurer.

Man, what a shot by Clarence Moore! Firing from 35 yards he didn't give the enemy goalie a chance and it was 0 - 1. After 13 minutes Frisco´s Bud Akers contracted a slight foot injury, but could finish the game. After 21 minutes Shawn Raymond got through on the right and was very close to equalising for the home side, but didn´t get the shot away. Bert Drew of Frisco received a yellow card in the 26:th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. After 29 minutes Teddy Walters made a dash down the middle past the away teams defenders scoring 1 - 1. The teams went for a half-time break at 1 - 1. Frisco, bringing the final ball possession rate to 68 percent, dominated the battle.

After a fine move down the middle Benton Mcmillan nearly gave the home side one up in the 53rd minute. The finishing shot went just wide, though. Many thought Ni Thanh-Linh ought to have been awarded a penalty shot in the 55:th minute, as he went down trying to circle the visitors keeper Lester Proctor. Bud Akers received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly, probably out of lack of experience, in the 57:th minute and almost caused an opponent to score. Frisco took the lead in the 60:th minute of the game by 2 to 1, as Shawn Raymond elegantly received a pass going deep, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. Frisco held the ball, with a clear 66 percent possession rate.

Frisco´s best player was Benton Mcmillan. Delmer Erickson was a disappointment, however. Most important Fighting player was Tom Sanders. Jefferson Enriquez was a disappointment, however.

We couldn't keep the lead. Once again Enriqez is our worst player. Sanders gets Player of Game for his debut. Also we went with 4-4-2 for this game, and I think that is what we'll stick with.

Right now we have 3 players who are on the verge of being listed.

Rocky Beverly
Victor Brown
Jefferson Enriquez
We can't have Enriquez not perform.

For the next game against Calibri Brown will start in place of Enriquez. Right now, I am still deciding, but he is the prelimary pick.

This loss keeps us at third. We play the second place team Fernova for our next two league games. But that will come after a matchup with the Mystic Knights who are currently 7th.

Here are the league standings:

1. Frisco playas 5 12 - 3 15

Right now I can tell we've definatly improved. The last two seasons, we were the team everyone wished they could play, now we're playing better, and guys aren't playing it cool. :D Still wish we could have won against Frisco. Sanders is my new favorite player.

Well we get clobbered. 7-0.
match report:

742 spectators had come to Spring Grove Fighting Eagles Arena this cloudy day. Fighting tactics involved an interesting 4-3-3 combination. They fielded: Proctor - Foote, Sheets, Sanders, Beverly - Brown, Ortega, Phelps - Mahon, Maurer, Moore.

Calibiri started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Santana - Duvall, Mieres, Horner, Jones - Kezman, Cisneros, Mcdonough, Renteria - Galvan, Veres.

After 3 minutes Calibiris Lindsey Galvan made his way through the middle, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. Calibiri´s Colt Mcdonough refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon in the 4:th minute. The away team´s Lindsey Galvan took advantage of a mistake to the home side´s right in the 4:th minute increasing Calibiri´s lead to 0 - 2. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Fighting´s Clarence Moore got himself booked. After 13 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Colt Mcdonough who increased Calibiri´s lead to 0 - 3. Juan Carlos Mieres increased the visitors lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 4. The structure of the game started to change as Calibiri decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. Halftime score was 0 - 4. Calibiri, bringing the final ball possession rate to 74 percent, dominated the battle.

Calibiri came close to extending their lead as Lindsey Galvan delivered a long range shot from the right but the angle was to sharp, and the shot hit the side of the goal. Some fine manouvering on the left lead to an 83rd minute Calibiri goal, making it 0 - 5. Colt Mcdonough was noted down as the scorer. Ted Ortega of Fighting received a yellow card in the 83rd minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Some fine manouvering on the left lead to an 86:th minute Calibiri goal, making it 0 - 6. Cãtãlin Veres was noted down as the scorer. In the 87:th minute Calibiri put themselves up 0 - 7 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. Scorer was Lindsey Galvan. By then Lindsey Galvan was a three time scorer - a hat trick! The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Calibiri, with an impressive 85 percent possession of the ball.

Most important Fighting player was Tom Sanders. Victor Brown was a disappointment, however. Calibiri´s best player was Chad Cisneros. However, Bob Duvall made a disastrous appearance.

I make a very tough decision this week. In an effort to see the light.(Get out of debt) I am going to send Sanders onto the transfer list. Maybe hattrick gods will smile upon me, and I will get another exceptional youth pull this week, but I doubt it.

I asked how much on the forums, and a few guys said $300,000 to $400,000. Now if I were to sell him for that much, I'd be clear of debt. And If no one wants him, I keep him, and stay happy. Maybe even train him ot be an excellent defender. (I can dream)

So i start the bidding at $350,000. I don't care if it is high, I almost don't want anyone to buy him, but if they do, then I will be out of debt, and be happy.

Tom Sanders-Central Defender-$350,000-Deadline: 1/19/2003 at 03:14. Hardest decision I've had to make yet.

Dataking:

I think you can get the $350,000 for Sanders. If I was training playmaking and had the money sitting around, I'd snatch him up. Train up his playmaking and stamina, and you've got a great two way midfielder who can play both offensively and defensively.

Bad news. We are going to lose Tom Sanders. Good news, he is going to give us a lot of money. An English team today bid: West Staines Massiv offered 233 667 £ for Tom Sanders and thereby took the lead in the bidding.
But for all of us out there who lack international currecny conversion rate abilities, they bid $350,501. Of that we will take home $315,451. But we still have 3 days left before the deadline is reached. Just imagine a few teams getting into a bidding war. I'm having wet dreams thinking about it.

vexroid:

I'm thinking about possibly offering 450K for him, not quite sure though....j/k

me:

No go ahead, he's really good. I'm thinking of sending a message to the guy who buys him thanking him, and to enjoy. Wouldn't you love to get a message?

vexroid:

I've been buying a few players lately, and I'm now down to 230K, or I would at least give him a look.

me:

We have a new entry in the race for Tom. Again it's a foreign team (Not US)
2003-01-17
Polisong-Harrys grabbar offered 3 580 000 kr for Tom Sanders and thereby took the lead in the bidding.

Which in US dollars is $358,000. I'm surprised. I thought it would've been like a dollar more, but he bid a good deal more.
vexroid:

He did in fact, bid the minimum possible. Once bidding on a player gets to a certain amount, the minimum amount that you have to raise the bid increases.
I know that around 200K-250K the minimum increase is 6K, so an 8K increase for your player is exactly right.

Well, I'm starting to get what I wished for.
Synopsis Inc. raises for Tom Sanders

UKC raises for Tom Sanders

UKC a English team bid 244,000 Pound.

Synopsis Inc. bid 375,000 Euro. They are a Ducth team.

So right now the bidding is at $374,000. Of that we would take home $336,000 after his stupid agent steals some of my money.

Youth Pull is later today.

Apparently, UKC wants Tom. They put in a new bid, and took the lead.
They offered: 2003-01-18
UKC offered 254 670 £ for Tom Sanders and thereby took the lead in the bidding.

Deadline is 1/19/2003 at 03:14

In US $ it is now at $382,005. Of which we take $343,805.

sterlingince:

Still a few hours until he gets sold and he's already up to 500K WOW! This is your "get out of debt free" card and maybe a chance to upgrade ye olde stadium and maybe even buy a player or two! I'm definately envious.

Coffee Warolord:

For any with doubts about investing in youth squad even if you're poor and losing money...look at the above. It's worth it!
I just hope I can get a cash-in player before I go too far into debt.

Log on get this:
SC Victoria raises for Tom Sanders

UKC raises for Tom Sanders

Candyland All-Stars raises for Tom Sanders

Candyland offered: $500,000. They are a US team.

UKC: 340,00 Pound. English team.

And the newest high bidders are SC Victoria who bid 541,000 Euro. They are a German Team. The funny thing is is that This team is undefeated for 12 competition games and has 8 wins in a row. Their number 1 in their division. Same goes for UKC. I wonder why they need Tom so bad? Oh well, I'm not complaining. Of this we get $486,900. With about 4 hours left, we may get a few last minute bids, but I doubt it.

Looking to the future. I am not going to buy a lot of players. I doubt I'll even buy one. I've been in debt for the majority of this game, so it'll be ncie to get out of it. Now about the stadium construction.

I want to add seats. But it always costs somewhere over $200,000 to add. But since I don't want to go into debt, I'll just stick with my tiny stadium.

And yes, I think this is a very good lesson for hattrick rookies about youth teams.

Give it another minure, and another team bids on him.
Horna Fure IF offered 5 520 000 kr for Tom Sanders and thereby took the lead in the bidding.

They are a Swedish team.

In American money this is $552,000. Of that we get $496,800.

Poor UKC they really want him:
Snowdrop Town raises for Tom Sanders

UKC raises for Tom Sanders

UKC offered 376 000 £ for Tom Sanders and thereby took the lead in the bidding.

But then they were again outbid by SnowDrop Town:

Snowdrop Town offered 384 000 £ for Tom Sanders and thereby took the lead in the bidding.

As we all know UKC is an English team, but so is SnowDrop.

So now in US currency we are making out like bandits.

He's currently at $576,000 with a little less than 2 hours left.

Of this we take $518,400.

Cue Homer voice

Mmmmmmmmmm......money....oooooooooooooo.....snore......

sterlingice:

Illinifan, how much in debt are you? I keep getting advised that even if I have to go a little into debt. Building up the stadium is a big help since it brings in $20-$40K more per week depending on how full I fill it and that pays off debt pretty quick, too.

illinifan999
01-25-2003, 02:08 PM
Well, we aren't done yet.

Horna aren't ready to give up on him yet:

Horna Fure IF offered 5 880 000 kr for Tom Sanders and thereby took the lead in the bidding.

USA Money: $588,000.
We take: $529,200.

And here is the newest addition to the SG Fighting Eagles: (Please be Tom Sanders jr. ;) Just please be good.)

Wel before the sale of Sanders we are $250,000 in debt. We are a little lower, but close enough.
I want to get out of debt and stay out of it, so I'm gonna hold off on it until I am securly out of it.

UKC is in the hunt.
UKC offered 400 000 £ for Tom Sanders and thereby took the lead in the bidding.

In US: $600,000
We take: $540,000

So we did it. We were able to pull of a $600,000 transfer. It's still nto over, btu I doubt ti will get to $700,000.

UKC just couldn't get him.
AC Ågårdsvägen offered 6 120 000 kr for Tom Sanders and thereby took the lead in the bidding.

They are a Swedish team.

The final US price was $612,000. His value was $221,000. Not to bad.

Of that we took home $563,040.

So assuming that I don't buy any players, or do anything to attract expense, I will end up with more than $286,377. And I still have my home game to play.

We lost to a brand new team. Three gamesin a row we have lost.

The 7005 spectators at Spring Grove Fighting Eagles Arena were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Fighting started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Proctor - Foote, Brown, Sheets, Beverly - Moore, Enriquez, Ortega, Phelps - Mahon, Maurer.

Black had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. Lineup: Zeigler - Miller, Morrell, Ayers, Simpson - Trujillo, Deaton, Taylor, Nguyen - Summers, Wyman.

Black´s Omar Summers gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead in the 15:th minute with a superb strike from the right. The referee showed Blacks Ted Ayers the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The Fighting player was Martin Maurer who had to be helped off the pitch, unable to finish the game. The visitors Armand Wyman took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side´s goalie and full backs in the 31st minute. 0 - 2 for Black. A marvelous Fighting effort to the right resulted in a 38:th minute goal by Tom Sheets, putting the score up to 1 - 2. Black´s Armand Wyman received a play slashing through the home side´s defense in the 38:th minute, chipping it past the keeper scoring 1 - 3. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. Black´s Omar Summers received a play slashing through the home side´s defense in the 41st minute, chipping it past the keeper scoring 1 - 4. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. The structure of the game started to change as Black decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. Halftime score was 1 - 4. Black held the ball, with a clear 60 percent possession rate.

A marvelous Fighting effort to the right resulted in a 58:th minute goal by Clarence Moore, putting the score up to 2 - 4. Black held the ball, with a clear 61 percent possession rate.

The most dominating Fighting player was without a doubt Randy Mahon. Mike Haywood on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Black player was without a doubt Ted Ayers. Marcus Nguyen on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 4.

Bad news, very bad news. Foote is out for 5 weeks. We also lost 4-0 against a cyclone team. We tryed the 3-52 this week. I'm gonna stick with it, gain experience with it.

238 spectators had come to cyclone Arena this cloudy day. cyclone had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Harms - Redmond, Dow, Vogt - Green, Schwarz, Corey, Mcgregor, Rich - Carson, Burch.

Fighting started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Proctor - Foote, Sheets, Beverly - Moore, Brown, Enriquez, Ortega, Phelps - Mahon, Maurer.

Fighting had a good opportunity to score the lead goal but the home team goaltender Arnold Harms saved Ted Ortega´s shot headed for the top corner. The referee showed Fightings Marshall Foote the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Fighting had obvious problems in finding their positions. cyclone made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in from the right hand side left Willard Vogt completely alone with keeper Lester Proctor, who made a spectacular block. cyclone took the lead in the 26:th minute of the game by 1 to 0, as Harvey Burch elegantly received a pass going deep, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. A speedy charge from the left side of the field put cyclone lead up with 2 - 0. Jerald Rich finished that one off competently, firing from an acute angle. In the games 35:th minute Fighting´s Ted Ortega fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked Ted Ortega for taking a dive. The teams went for a half-time break at 2 - 0. cyclone held the ball, with a clear 63 percent possession rate.

The Fighting players spent the half-time break getting a rerun of the teams tactical organization. Fighting seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion about the organization of the team. The referee showed Fightings Tom Sheets the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. In the to 76:th minute a very unfortunate collision in the home teams penalty area led to Fighting´s Marshall Foote being carried off the pitch and replaced by Billy Jung. Alan Corey increased cyclones lead to 3 - 0 by putting a header away on a hooked ball from the right. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, cyclone´s Harvey Burch got himself booked. cyclone´s Dewey Schwarz had an excellent opportunity in the 83rd minute, shooting on a through ball, but he missed the goal by miles! In the 86:th minute of the match the visitors central line of defence had to look on as Lee Mcgregor dashed through, knocking home 4 - 0 for cyclone. The structure of the game started to change as cyclone decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. In the 86:th minute cyclones Willard Vogt received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. cyclone held the ball, with a clear 54 percent possession rate.

cyclone´s best player was Ken Green. Titus Dow was a disappointment, however. Fighting´s best player was Randy Mahon. Victor Brown on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 - 0.

At Fevernova Arena, 7000 punters turned up, and despite threatening clouds at the horizon, no rain came. Fevernova had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Nowak - Gillis, Marion, Stroud - Fernández, Guidry, Everhart, Llanderal, Still - Ferguson, Vincent.

Fighting had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Proctor - Brown, Sheets, Beverly - Moore, Enriquez, Ortega, Mora, Phelps - Mahon, Maurer.

In the 1st minute the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending and Jefferson Enriquez put the ball away for 0 - 1. Clarence Moore of Fighting received a yellow card in the 16:th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Fevernova´s Matt Stroud refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon in the 23rd minute. Daryl Vincent of Fevernova was able to make an impressive rush past the sluggish Tom Sheets, which resulted in the 1 - 1 goal. Joe Marion received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly, probably out of lack of experience, in the 33rd minute and almost caused an opponent to score. The home side put themselves ahead 2 - 1 in the 34:th by a breakthrough from Eduardo Llanderal, who unaided came in out of the right wing hooking the ball over the visitors keeper. In the games 35:th minute Fevernova´s Ernesto Fernández fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked Ernesto Fernández for taking a dive. Fighting seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion about the organization of the team. In the 38:th minute of the match the visitors central line of defence had to look on as Daryl Vincent dashed through, knocking home 3 - 1 for Fevernova. The structure of the game started to change as Fevernova decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. As Eduardo Llanderal had, completely unprovoked, swept the legs out from under an opponent in front of a linesman, the referee gave the Fevernova player a red card without batting an eye. 3 - 1 was the half-time score. Fevernova held the ball, with a clear 52 percent possession rate.

The Fighting players spent the half-time break getting a rerun of the teams tactical organization. A well placed corner kick from Daryl Vincent was followed by Matt Stroud´s hard but accurate header. The nice combination meant 4-1 for Fevernova. Fighting had obvious problems in finding their positions. Fevernova put their lead ahead another goal as Daryl Vincent struck home the 5 - 1 goal, after an attack from the left setting him up unmarked with the keeper. By then Daryl Vincent was a three time scorer - a hat trick! Fevernova held the ball, with a clear 55 percent possession rate.

Fevernova´s best player was Paul Gillis. Joe Marion on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Fighting player was Randy Mahon. Jefferson Enriquez was a disappointment, however. The match ends 5 - 1.

572 spectators had come to Spring Grove Fighting Eagles Arena this cloudy day. Fighting started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. They fielded: Proctor - Brown, Sheets, Beverly - Moore, Ortega, Scruggs, Mora, Phelps - Mahon, Maurer.

Morrisvillians had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation. The following players had been chosen: Egan - Doss, Fréchette, Ribelles, Mahoney - Sifres Belenguer, Stewart, Miller, Minton, Frantz - Andersen.

After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Morrisvillians´s Gabriel Ribelles got himself booked. Morrisvillians appeared unsure on how to play. 14 minutes into the game Buster Minton was a hair´s breadth away from giving Morrisvillians the lead. A prompt block by Lester Proctor saved the home team that time. Fighting seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion about the organization of the team. In the 19:th minute the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as Ted Ortega flipped the ball after a cross pass from the right. A couple of quick and successful challenges, followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area after 22 minutes might have resulted in another goal for Fighting. However, Tom Egan made a spectacular save. 1 - 0 was the half-time score. Fighting held the ball, with a clear 58 percent possession rate.

The Fighting players spent the half-time break getting a rerun of the teams tactical organization. The Morrisvillians players spent the half-time break getting a rerun of the teams tactical organization. In the 64:th minute of the match the visitors central line of defence had to look on as Norman Scruggs dashed through, knocking home 2 - 0 for Fighting. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Fighting´s Rocky Beverly got himself booked. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Martin Maurer squirmed himself through the central defense line in the 75:th minute, asserting the lead to 3 - 0. Fighting seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion about the organization of the team. After 79 minutes Tom Sheets put Fighting ahead 4 - 0 as he rose to head in a hooked ball, the result of an effort from the right side. After this Fighting lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Morrisvillians´s Al Mahoney got himself booked. Fighting held the ball, with a clear 57 percent possession rate.

The most dominating Fighting player was without a doubt Randy Mahon. However, Norman Scruggs made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Morrisvillians player was without a doubt Søren Andersen. Lucas Fréchette on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 - 0.

We sent out a barage of challenges to English teams. Hell Raisers were the first to accept. We will be playing them at home.

Now the youth pull:

Ildefonso Martínez Galan
19 years, passable form, healthy

A pleasant guy who is fiery and upright.
Has disastrous experience and poor leadership abilities.

Nationality: USA
Assessed value: 24 000 US$
Wage: 620 US$/week
Owner: Spring Grove Fighting Eagles
Warnings: 0

Stamina: inadequate Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: poor Passing: weak

I'm gonna keep him and train him in defending. I also like his name. We are now the last original team that started the season in our division. As Fernova was replaced by a team called the Nobs. We play them at home.

I go searching for one more player. I want an inadequate playmaker. So I go look at the foreign markets. I buy a cheap guy form a team called easyville fc. This will be my last purchase. Here is my plan. I am buying him because he is young, and I am trainng playmaking. I can then list one of my many possible candidates. Right now Jefferson Enriquez is at the top of the list. He is Swedish. I bought him off the Oceania market.

Here is his stuff:

Paul Jansson
18 000 US$, 18 years, weak form
Has disastrous experience and inadequate leadership abilities

Stamina: poor Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: inadequate Passing: wretched
Winger: weak Defending: poor
Scoring: weak Set Pieces: disastrous

He will start in Scruggs' place in the friendly. Enriquez hasn't been performing, and I will be looking to list him soon.

We play the Nobs @ home. Let's hope we can bring home a win.

But bad news off the bat. He is having trouble getting along with his peers. A newly bought player got a really bad start when he arrived in the club. The team spirit fell when he initially turned out not to get along very well with the other ones. Too bad. Team Spirit was the same as before he arrived though.

Easy win. i was expecting it as this was a new team with all the crap players.

7005 spectators had come to Spring Grove Fighting Eagles Arena this cloudy day. Fighting had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Proctor - Brown, Sheets, Beverly - Moore, Ortega, Scruggs, Mora, Phelps - Mahon, Maurer.

Nobs tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. They fielded: Arrabal - Garvin, Ayora, Maxwell, Reardon - Barr, Anglin, Dudley, Milner - Verma, Yi-Ling.

Fightings Victor Brown gave, after 2 minutes, the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right. Clarence Moore really should have scored when he was chosen by fate to confront a wide open goal after a corner, but he lost his nerve. In the 10:th minute of the match the visitors central line of defence had to look on as Ted Ortega dashed through, knocking home 2 - 0 for Fighting. In the 24:th minute Nobss Freddie Barr received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Almost all the way down to the corner flag Aaron Phelps somhow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for Martin Maurer who struck for 3 - 0. After this Fighting lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Fighting´s Victor Brown got himself booked. The visitors got a chance of pulling one back in the 41st minute, due to a defensive blunder leaving Jim Anglin completely unmarked. His strike was pathetic though, easy prey for the home side´s keeper. 3 - 0 was the half-time score. Fighting held the ball, with a clear 59 percent possession rate.

50 minutes into the game Lee Garvin had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came Rudolph Brinson. The away team reduced the score to 3 - 1, as Sivadasan Verma struck home, set up well by a play from the left in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute Fighting put themselves up 4 - 1. The visitors defenders lost the ball to Martin Maurer coming up from the left, who proceeded to cooly round the goaltender and knock the ball home. Fightings Norman Scruggs got himself booked after a foul. Nobs were forced to a substitution as Ruben Reardon couldn´t continue playing due to the rough treatment. Norman Scruggs wasn´t fit enough for a full game made several mistakes out of sheer tiredness. One of them was exploited by Jim Anglin who squeezed in 4-2. Rocky Beverly increased Fightings lead to 5 - 2 by putting a header away on a hooked ball from the right. Fighting held the ball, with a clear 54 percent possession rate.

Fighting´s best player was Randy Mahon. Norman Scruggs on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Nobs player was without a doubt Jim Milner. Qi Yi-Ling on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 5 - 2.

1725 spectators arrived at Spring Grove Fighting Eagles Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Fighting had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Proctor - Brown, Sheets, Beverly - Moore, Ortega, Jansson, Mora, Phelps - Mahon, Maurer.

raisers started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Pelidis - McNorrill, Agrait, Lloyd, Brant - O'Donnell, Finlayson, Laurent, Nixon - Marquis, Kramer-Byrne.

Chucho Mora behaved like an inexperienced youth player in the 1st minute as he gave the ball away to an opponent. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. Fighting broke through to the left in the 8:th minute, Martin Maurer firing at an acute angle giving the home side a 1 - 0 lead. A cross coming in from the right hand side left Clemens Kramer-Byrne alone in front of the goal in the 10:th minute but his shot was too loose. raisers got a chance to level the score as Clemens Kramer-Byrne suddenly found himself free with the goaltender but the finishing shot hit the bar. raiserss Clemens Kramer-Byrne got himself booked after a foul. Paul Jansson the unlucky victim, couldn´t continue the game. Halftime score was 1 - 0. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Fighting, with an impressive 52 percent possession of the ball.

Fighting put themselves up 2 - 0 when Rocky Beverly broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. Pablo Agrait of raisers received a yellow card in the 46:th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Fighting put their lead ahead another goal as Ted Ortega struck home the 3 - 0 goal, after an attack from the left setting him up unmarked with the keeper. In the 75:th minute raiserss Mark Laurent received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Due to a severely mistimed tackle,Aaron Phelps spent some on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. Clemens Kramer-Byrne nearly reduced 82 minutes into the game, but a splendid one hand save by Lester Proctor put a stop to the attempt coming in from the right flank. Fighting held the ball, with a clear 58 percent possession rate.

The most dominating Fighting player was without a doubt Randy Mahon. Will Gonzales was a disappointment, however. raisers´s best player was John McNorrill. Andre Marquis was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 0.

We schedule another home friendly against an English team. This time Dynamo Mullets will be traveling to our stadium.

We have an announcement. We will be upgrading our stadium to around 16,000+ seats during the off-season. More closer to when next season starts. I want to wait, because we don't have many home games left. I will be selling Jefferson Enriquez soon, and he will help pay for the new stadium.

New question for anyone who reads this:

is there any advantage to renaming your stadium? I can't jusity spending $4,000 just for looks. But if there was an advantage, then I might consider it.

Shit. That is all I am going to say. Not only do we lose, but we lose three starters for the loss. Ortega is done for 3 weeks, Beverly is out for 1, and Moore is out for one. Foote still has 2 weeks to go, and Jansson has 1 more.

Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 7000 at Black Reign Arena today. Black started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Lineup: Parsons - Simpson, Ayers, Schilling, Summers - Trujillo, Whiting, Taylor, Leslie - Berger, Wyman.

Fighting started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. They fielded: Proctor - Brown, Sheets, Beverly - Moore, Ortega, Scruggs, Mora, Phelps - Mahon, Maurer.

Fighting´s Rocky Beverly left the field after 12 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was Billy Jung. In the 16:th minute cheers broke out as Armand Wyman found his way through the guests central defense line, clipping the 1 - 0 goal in for Black. After 21 minutes Fighting´s Randy Mahon contracted a slight foot injury, but could finish the game. A speedy charge from the left side of the field put Black lead up with 2 - 0. Jimmy Berger finished that one off competently, firing from an acute angle. The structure of the game started to change as Black decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. The referee showed Fightings Aaron Phelps the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. A speedy charge from the left side of the field put Black lead up with 3 - 0. Armand Wyman finished that one off competently, firing from an acute angle. 3 - 0 was the half-time score. Black, bringing the final ball possession rate to 52 percent, dominated the battle.

A couple of quick and successful challenges, followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area after 64 minutes might have resulted in another goal for Black. However, Lester Proctor made a spectacular save. A bit later, a magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Black´s Armand Wyman putting the lead up to 4 - 0. By then Armand Wyman was a three time scorer - a hat trick! The referee showed Blacks Evan Whiting the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Fighting were forced to a substitution as Clarence Moore couldn´t continue playing due to the rough treatment. Lester Proctor was caught napping a bit later as Armand Wyman lifted a ball over him after a free kick, but the ball hit the bar, rebounding into the keepers arms. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Fighting´s Norman Scruggs got himself booked. Fighting made a substitution in the 82nd minute. Ted Ortega limped off the field and was replaced by Jefferson Enriquez. Chucho Mora received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly, probably out of lack of experience, in the 84:th minute and almost caused an opponent to score. Fighting had a good opportunity to reduce the score in the 85:th minute, breathing new life into the game, but the home side´s defenders cleared the ball on the line, after a long range shot coming in from the left, rebounding off the Fighting held the ball, with a clear 64 percent possession rate.

The most dominating Black player was without a doubt Jimmy Berger. Evan Whiting on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Fighting player was Victor Brown. However, Brendon Mabry made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 4 - 0.

I expected to lose, adn we did. I started Mahon at midfield, and gave Gonzlaes, and SIsk a chance to start at forward.

1118 spectators had come to Spring Grove Fighting Eagles Arena this cloudy day. Fighting started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Proctor - Brown, Sheets, Beverly - Moore, Mahon, Scruggs, Mora, Phelps - Gonzales, Sisk.

Mullets had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Fjelén - Harvey, MacGreusich, Crawford - Blake, Barth, Ward, Wilensky, Lassman - Johnson, Evans.

Blake Evans delivered a good free kick from an excellent position in the 13th minute, but luck wasn´t on Mullets´s side this time, the ball going wide. The referee showed Mulletss Blake Evans the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. After 44 minutes Mulletss Blake Evans made his way through the middle, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. Mullets´s Luke Crawford refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon in the 44:th minute. In the 44:th minute Randy Mahon went down in a suspected penalty situation after a challenge from the visitors right guard, but the referee, having a good line of sight, signalled to keep on playing. Halftime score was 0 - 1. Mullets held the ball, with a clear 63 percent possession rate.

Andrew Johnson increased the visitors lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 2. After 58 minutes Mullets´s James Lassman contracted a slight foot injury, but could finish the game. The visitors Andrew Johnson took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side´s goalie and full backs in the 62nd minute. 0 - 3 for Mullets. After 67 minutes Blake Evans made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to Andrew Johnson who shuffled the ball past the keeper. The score was now 0 - 4. By then Andrew Johnson was a three time scorer - a hat trick! The structure of the game started to change as Mullets decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. The visitors Blake Evans took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side´s goalie and full backs in the 84:th minute. 0 - 5 for Mullets. An indecisive goaltender looked on as a free kick by Mullets´s Blake Evans put the visitors up 0 - 6 after 85 minutes. This third goal made a hat trick for Blake Evans. After 86 minutes Mullets´s Brady Ward contracted a slight foot injury, but could finish the game. Mullets, bringing the final ball possession rate to 86 percent, dominated the battle.

The most dominating Fighting player was without a doubt Victor Brown. Will Gonzales was a disappointment, however. Most important Mullets player was William MacGreusich. George Wilensky on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 6.

2 new supporters signed up, adn we got 60 dollars. The team played a match. Spectator income amounted to 2 599 US$.

We have the consolation cup next wednesday, and I am oging to have to figure out who im playing.

;)

We lost out on a solid playmaker who sold for the final price of a whoppin $10,000. I would have gotten him. Stupid school. Then I look at some passables. No luck weither. I am really starting to like Oceania though. I think I might buy a second house there. I am spending more time on their market. ;)

Amen to that. I've gotten 2 players off of their market and they seem darn cheap. Not like trying to shop in Sverige and the USA. Probably why about 2/3rds of my transfers are from overseas.

A Scrubs game sounds good to me. I can talk to a friend of mine about buying a couple of Bears tickets too (he has season tickets, but usually sells off some of them).

I used to live in the west burbs (Darien, to be specific - 12 miles due south of Oakbrook), but since moved downstate to the Black Hole, aka Galesburg. 'Bout a 2 and a half hour drive of utter boredom. (Good majority of my friends are in Chicago, and my parents are in Galesburg. So whichever place I lived, I made the drive....lots.)

But I'm definatly in for a Cubbies / Bears game anytime. As a matter of fact, we should do a FOFC does the Cubs in 2003 as well. I'd certainly make the drive up for that[1]

[1] So long as we joined the bleacher bums. The only place in Wrigley worth being. :)

1) So long as I can wear Cardinal Red regardless of who they play. Actually, I would kind of like to live after the game, so I won't do this.

Anyway, I was looking at the STL recruiting district to see where I could land if I recruited...and saw the infamous Galesburg...and Macomb...but didn't see Spring Grove anywhere.

Perhaps it's like my Iowa Baseball Confederacy...Dang it, I know the Cubs played a game against the IBC All Stars on July 4th, 1908.

Yeah, Spring Grove has a whopping population of about 3,000 people. We are in McHenry COunty, and are right up against the Wisconsin Border.

Perhaps you are in Wisconsin but no one knows it!

Well, we have two new players added to our team this week.

Adalberto Jiménez
18 years, passable form, healthy

A pleasant guy who is calm and upright.
Has disastrous experience and passable leadership abilities.

Nationality: België
Assessed value: 15 000 US$
Wage: 672 US$/week including 20% Bonus
Owner: Spring Grove Fighting Eagles
Warnings: 0
Stamina: poor Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: passable Passing: poor
Winger: poor Defending: poor
Scoring: poor Set Pieces: inadequate

We bought him for $9,000. Now I can sell Jefferson Enriquez away.

Now for our weekly ticket vender, or hot dog man. He will be hot dog man if his passing is poor or above.;)

But here he is none the less.:

He will be a ticket vender. His highest rating is in stamina at passable. Everything else sucks, and he is fired,.

Now we play at home against the number one team Cobra Kais. We need to win. Our newly bought player will take Ortega's place.
