Can't be any worse than the Debacle By the Bay that preceeded it.

Why does Oregon use their QB tandem? Dixon is the guyof the future. Leaf's little bro isn't gonna do anything for them.
Ah well, F the Ducks

Stupid move by peterson. A TD down there would have really put OU up

What a huge play there for the Ducks.

That was one Hell of a run after the catch... my lord. If he was able to shed the tackle and go all the way, it would have been the run of the year.

Holy Shit... did that play just happen?!

Ouch... well that sucked for Oregon. Count on Leaf to throw a pick in San Diego ;).

Poor Oregon. If Clemens hadn't broken his leg, Oregon would have most likely rolled. It wasn't good defense, it was anemic offense on both sides of the ball.

Man, I thought for sure this game was going to be a repeat of the last game OU lost. Nice job guys pulling out the win in the end.

I just want to freaking strangle Bomar for spiking the ball like that. This is not high school.
Oh well, at least we won. :D

I was shocked. I thought for sure that the Pac-10 offense would be too sophistimicated and complimicated for a little ol' defense from one of those backwoods conferences that don't know nuthin' 'bout no offense to figure out.

PASADENA, Calif. (AP) - Drew Olson threw for 314 yards and three touchdowns, UCLA held Adrian Peterson to 58 yards rushing, and the Bruins beat No. 21 Oklahoma 41-24 on Saturday

This game pretty well sums up OU's season. They had a chance to go for the juggular and put a team away, but they let them back in the game and it almost bit them in the ass (i.e. Baylor, Nebraska, Texas A&M). However, all of these freshmen grew up a lot this year, and I expect they'll learn how to put teams away in the future.
It's unfortunate that those officials jobbed them down in Lubbock; otherwise OU would be on the cusp of a seven game winning streak and playing Alabama on Jan 2., instead of an overranked Oregon team.

Nice game overall for OU. I would have loved to have had it 24-7 there, but I'm happy for the win. Bomar made some good passes against a solid defense, and OU's defense looked really good a lot of the time.
I expected the game to be much higher scoring, but I think this is an important win for OU. Whether Oregon was overrated or not, they're still the best team OU has beaten this year and for it to happen in a bowl game means a lot for many of the young kids, I think. It should give them a little confidence going into next season and the trip up to Eugene.
Now, if Vince Young comes back, OU still won't beat Texas at this point. But the future does indeed look bright, in my opinion. After a rocky start, Bomar has started to look like a pretty decent quarterback with very good potential.

It was the right call. Get over it. Henderson was on the legs of another player when the front half of the ball crossed the goal line. Same as Peterson not being down last night because he was on another player.

That's awesome. UCLA only gained 47 fewer yards against Oklahoma than the backwards Texas offense. And the UCLA defense only allowed 227 more yards to the Sooners than the Texas defense.
Kudos, I say.

It really wasn't. Watch the replay. His backside hits the turf before he extends the ball over. Multiple angles show it. And the 4th down call was even worse. But that's an argument for another day.
The Peterson one last night was a fumble all the way. He lost the ball before he came down to the ground.

One more thing about the Henderson run. There are videos and pictures floating all over the place, and I'll admit it's close. There is no definitive shot. What convinces me that it wasn't a TD is actually two pictures together. There's a shot from the endzone camera that shows the ball very clearly not over the line. When you look at that in conjunction with a slightly off-center shot of his backside hitting the turf and him stretching the ball, it becomes clear, to me at least, that it was not a touchdown.
The 4th down call can barely even be debated if you ask me. But then again, nobody did. :D

Should've been, but the whistle hadn't blown. Even if his progress was stopped, the play's live until the whistle blows, and he should've known better than to leave the ball out there like that.
