I swear it's been raining 2 weeks straight. It kept me up last night because it was raining so hard. This morning the wind was gusting at 46mph and I thought the rain was going to break my windows. The rain stopped about 3 hours ago.

Now it's sunny, there are only clouds on the horizon and there is no wind whatsoever.

I'm wondering if I should take the chance and wash my car (It's garaged and hasn't been washed in a couple of weeks).

One of my favorite aunts lives in CA. She was ordered to evacuate today. I hope her place ends up being ok :(

I used to live down 580 from you Tom, in Dublin. I moved out there in '97, which was the last time El Nino struck. Sunny California, my ass! It rained almost nonstop for the first 8 months I lived out there. All the rain did make for some awesome whitewater rafting the next spring.

I'm glad it's raining through and we're not in another fuckedass drought. Can't flush the pot but once a day, if it's yellow let it mellow if it's brown flush it down. House smelled like piss 24/7. Can only use so much water or you get jacked in the rates. My old man made us take what he called "military showers". We could only use the shower for 1 minute. So basically you freeze your dick off in the winter times.

Or WAY back in the days when the cops would come by and ticket you for running your sprinklers during a water shortage.

We could really use the rain out here...less than 20 inches for the entire year and we're having burn bans during the freakin' winter!

I drove through when I was back in the area over Labor Day weekend. There had been a ton more built up since I moved back to Texas in June 2004. The old Pac and Save strip mall on Daugherty and Dublin Blvd. was gone, and I'm sure by now something new has already been built there.
