OK, my back is pretty jacked up. At first my lower back was really sore and i had a little pain in my hip. I took a lot of advil, icy hot, heating pads, etc...the pain then shifted to just my lower back and was sore. Now my body is noticably crooked, my right hip is about 1 1/2 inches lower then my left hip. I have made a chiropractor appointment but I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else, I am a little freaked out.

Go see a doctor.

A couple of months ago I sneezed and jacked up my lower back so much that I could barely move for a couple of days. It got better when I realized that laying around wasn't helping and that it felt better when I walked around for a bit. Sounds like your case is more serious than mine, though. Go see and expert and get it checked out ASAP. Your back isn't something that you want to have chronic problems with...

A good chiropractor will tell you if he can help or will send you to a back specialist. Back pain sucks, and I feel for you.

Best I have ever felt is when I was doing a Chiropractic adjustment and a massage once a week. Best health, and range of motion I have had in a long time.

If your hips are displaced it can really throw your spine out of position. Painful to the point that at times you cannot put your full weight on you heels. The good news is that it can be adjusted and treated without meds/surgury. Get it checked.

A good chiropractor will want to see you twice a week for the rest of your life. If your insurance covers it, why not. If it doesn't, I wouldn't waste time seeing a chiro. Beware though, I think I was watching something a few weeks ago talking about the high complication rate for back surgery.

I would go see a chiropractor way before a doctor - I went to a doctor for my back pain - he took an x-ray gave me some pain pills ans basically said good luck. which solved nothing.

after seeing a chiropractor he not only adjusted my back and hips which fixed everything - he gave me exercises to keep the symptoms from coming back - and it worked.

I lived with brutal back pain for 10 years and now I go see this guy maybe once every three months and I am good to go.

I will say this - I have been to at least 2 chiropractors who were NOT good and basically tried to get you to come in once a week, for well the rest of your life and I never got better with them. You may need some frequent treatment at first - but if you don't start seeing results by session 3-4 then you need a new person. Your chiropractor should be helping you cure the problems that create your back pain, not just temporarily ease the pain until you can come back again.

also one last point, because this has really been the MIRACLE cure once we discovered it - a good 90% of the time by back problems are caused by tight hamstrings. When I feel my back starting to get a little stiff - I stretch out the hammy's and I get almost instant relief.
