Recruiting Preview
Here's an overview of my recruiting strategy.
We 15 players who will be graduating at the end of this season. They all have scholarships (I used the leftover ones on them.) We have 1 leftover scholarship, so we get 16 scholarships to give out.
QB - 2 QBs will be leaving. 1 of the QB seniors will be staying on my more season. With a QB redshirted, I only really need to get 1 QB.
RB - We have 7 RBs and 2 are leaving. We will still have 5 next season. We still don't have a great WB, so I will still probably go after 1 if I see a great one.
FB - We don't use FBs. No concern here.
TE - We have a great, future TE in Stan Earls. We use a Run and Shoot, so no real concern here either.
WR - We have a ton of WRs and none of them are seniors. Will not recruit a WR this year.
C - We are hurting for OL. Will go after atleast 1 to replace the 1 that is leaving.
G - 3 of the 4 Gs we have are seniors. All 3 are leaving. I will have to go after at least 2 Gs.
T - 1 Tackle is leaving. That 1 happens to be our only good OL. I'll try to get a good one.
P - No need here.
K - We have 3 kickers but none of them are good. Will go after 1 if I see a good one.
DE Rivers is leaving. We'll still have O'Reilly and Bates will be start hsi first season. No real concern here as long as O'Reilly developes.
DT - 2 of the 3 senior DTs are leaving. And 1 happens to be Garcia. The one staying is Basille, and he's not that good. We'll be going after a DT.
ILB - With Horn and Freeman starting next season, there's no real concern here. We are losing two (of 6), so I will probably go after at least 1 for depth.
OLB - OLBs are half complete. Still need 1 great OLB to compliment Frederick. But it's not a pressing issue. We have 7 and none of the senior OLBs are graduating.
CB - Need a CB to compliment Finley. But none of our CBs are leaving, so we don't have a pressing issue to fill any spots.
S - No S is leaving, so we'll have all 5. But I would like to have good safeties behind those great LBs and I don't think Merloni and Pravato will cut it.
Top Priorities
DT - Because we'll only have 1 (bad) DT next season.
G - Because we'll only have 2 (bad) Gs next season.
C & T - Just to finish out our OL cause it REALLY stinks.
QB - If you're going to run the Run and Shoot, you need a great QB. Mercury Kelly will not be that great QB for us.
No Priority
WR - None are leaving and we have 3 good redshirted ones.
ILB - 2 great redshirted. Our starts for the next 4 years (after this one)
Expansion?
No, cause we suck. We were 3-9 so we need to more than double our wins to expand our recruiting. Maybe in 2 or 3 years.

(We fumbled, they got intercepted by Hanks).
However, Toledo would score first halfway through the quarter on a 10 yard pass to make it 7-0. We again trade punts but after that, we're able to get something going. A 28 yard pass from Walker to Covington at the end of the 1st quarter gets us to the 1 yardline. Then, we get it in with a 1 yard TD pass from Walker to Bjorlin to tie the game at 7.
On the next drive, Toledo gets called from holding on the kickoff and is backed up far. They get going, but they throw a pass that is picked off by Thomason and returned 46 yards for the go ahead TD. Stockton leads 14-7.
We again go on trading punts (while Hanks gets his 2nd interception of the game as well) until the end of the half when Toledo is able to get into FG range and kick a 37 yard FG as time expires.
Half Time score: Stockton leads 14-10
We get it first and punt it. Toledo then marches the field and takes a 17-14 leads with a 5 yard TD pass.
We respond with a drive that gives us back the lead. A 4 yard TD pass from Walker to Bjorlin makes it 21-17 in favor of Stockton.
Toledo again gets down the field and gets another TD on a 3 yard run to make it 24-21 for Toledo.
We're forced to punt on the next drive and Toledo scores another TD off a 23 yard run right up the middle. It's now 31-21 and we feel this thing slipping away.
Thanks to an interception by Bradley deep in Toledo territory, we're able to kick a 35 yard FG to make it 31-24. With 5 minutes to go, it was now a 1 score game.
Toledo then put us away with a 3+ minute drive that ended with a 3 yard run for a TD to make it 38-24. We start with a 30 yard pass from Walker to Covington, but that's it. We turn it over on downs with 1 minute left and Toledo runs the clock out.
Final Scored: Toledo wins 38-24

2 Massive Injuries Hit The Stockton Ospreys
Ronnie Hanson, WR for the Ospreys, was a backup and had only 1 catch in 2 games. However, that catch could end his career. A torn knee ligament has sidelines Hanson for the rest of the season. This leaves Stockton with only 4 wide receivers. In order to not have to activate one of their freshmen, Stockton has moved Roderick Shelton from Tight End to Wide Receiver.
A more serious injury is the one suffered from DE starter Jermaine Rivers. Rivers suffered a compound Leg Fracture and is listed as out for 39 weeks. Rivers had hoped to go on to the NFL where he beleived he could have been a solid backup or even a starter. Now, it looks like his NFL days are over before they began. Junior DE Phil Caldwell has been bumped up to starter to fill in for Rivers.

Week 13
THE BATTLE OF NEW JERSEY!
Stockton Ospreys (0-10) at Rutgers Scarlet Knights (1-9)
Hardly the battle of the giants...
Rutgers is favored by 11
Attendance: 17,300 (41,500)
Weather: 45 degrees, fair
Rutgers starts out with the ball. They convert two 3rd down conversions to get to our 36 yardline, but the drive stalls and they go for it on 4th and 10 and fail.
Out first drive starts off with Walking throwing 3 straight completions for 35 yards. We run the ball once, but on that one run Jefferson broke it for 16 yards. We get down to their 15 yard line, where we miss a 32 yard FG.
On the strength of their running back, Rutgers drives down to our 26 yard line. And then they miss the 43 yard attempt. So after the 1st quarter, 2 FG tries, 2 FG misses.
We start off the next drive passing again. Walker is doing pretty good for himself so far. We get down to the Rutgers 25 yard line and this time, the FG (42) attempt was good. We take a 3-0 at the beginning of the 2nd quarter.
It doesn't take long for Rutgers to retaliate. A couple of big plays put them on our 20 yardline. From there, they hit a 20 yard TD pass to take a 7-3 lead.
We get the ball and only end up going about 30 yards and punt it. Rutgers gets an illegal block and have to start on their 15 yardline. Our defense holds and Rutgers goes three and out.
We get the ball at midfield. From there, Walker marches the team down to the 21 yardline. He takes a shot at the endzone. INTERCEPTION. Rutgers keeps it in the endzone for the touchback.
With only a minute left in the half, however, Rutgers can't do anything with it and the half ends.
Half Time score: Rutgers leads 7-3
We start off with the ball in the 3rd quarter. Walker again, takes the team down deep into Rutgers territory. At the Rutgers 17 yardline, Walker finds Bjorlin! TOUCHDOWN! PAT is good and Stockton has a 10-7 lead. THis is the first time this season that we have had a lead in the 2nd half against a conference opponent.
That lead would last for a little over a minute. On Rutgers first play of their next drive, they run the ball for 48 yards. The next play is an 11 yard pass for the touchdown. Rutgers retakes the lead 14-10.
Their defense hold on the next drive and we punt just short of midfield.
They end up going straight down the field. They converted a clutch 3rd and 10 at midfield to keep their drive alive. An unnecessary roughness call on us on a 2nd and 25 play (which only went for 9 yards, so it would have been 3rd and 16) gave them the first down. 2 plays later, a 3 yard run into the endzone extended the Rutgers lead to 11. They now lead 21-10.
On the kickoff, we get flagged for holding and have to start at our own 5 yard line. We onyl get 3 yards and punt from the 8.
This gives Rutgers great field position and they go for our throats. They get to the 19 yardline and try a pass into the endzone. INTERCEPTION! Touchback. Intercepted by Merloni.
Rutgers expect pass, we go run. 4 straight running plays 28 yards. Then Walker hits Davidson for 18 yards. We go back to the run. Finch runs for 33 and the TOUCHDOWN! We go for two and it fails. THe scores is now 21-16 Rutgers.
Our defense stops them and they punt from their 36 yardline. THis time, it was all Walker. He completes 5 straight passes, the 5th one being a pass for 13 yards to Davidson and another TOUCHDOWN! We go for 2 and it again fails. We have retaken the lead! Stockton leads it 22-21 with 7 minutes left to go in the game!
Our defense doesn't budge! A 3 and out for Rutgers gives us the ball back with 5:27 left to go in the game. Our offense can't get going, however, as a false start and an offensive holding call keeps bring the ball back.
Rutgers gets the ball with 3:58 left in the game. AN incomplete pass and two runs that go for a combined -1 yard makes them punt the ball away again.
We still don't get going on offense. The rushing game lets us down. We get a 2nd and 1 on a 9 yard pass, but then a -1 yard run brings up 3rd and 2. The pass was overthrown. We punt it...Holding on the revieving team! Rutgers had the ball in our territory, the holding calls takes them back to their own 44 yardline.
Only 2:18 left to go. Rutgers starts off bad, a false start and they are back to their own 39. A 7 yard run makes it 2nd and 8. Next play, the QB is hurried and he throws a bad pass. Incomplete. 3rd and 8, SACKED by O'Reilly.
On 4th and 13, Rutgers has no choice but to go for it. The pass...INCOMPLETE! Rutgers turns the ball over on downs!!
With only 1:31 left on the clock, Stockton successfully runs the clock out!
STOCKTON WINS! STOCKTON WINS! OH MY GOD, STOCKTON WINS!
Final Score: Stockton wins 22-21
Player of the Game: QB Tracy Walker

Week 14
Stockton Ospreys (1-10) at Kaneohe (2-8)
Stockton is favoed by 3
Attendance: 24,000 (43,700)
Weather: 78 degrees, fair
They got the ball first and we got the ball rolling. On the 3rd play of the game, Bradley picked off a pass and returned it for the touchdown to take a 7-0 lead.
They settled down and on the next try, they were able to get down the field and score on a 41 yard FG to make it 7-3.
Our offense shreaded their defense on the first drive and went right down the field to score on a 1 yard run to make it 14-3.
They threw another pick on the next drive (Thomason) and he returned it to their 14 yard line. 3 plays later, we score on a 1 yard TD run again and the we are really dominating them. It's now 21-3.
They put together a long, time consuming drive and end up with 3 more points on a 40 yard FG. 21-6.
On the first play of the next drive, Walker throws a pick and they get th eball back. Our D holds and they go 3 and out.
We get the ball back and march right down the field. We score a TD on a 17 yard pass (PAT blocked) and the score is now 27-6.
We get the ball back on another interception (Matthews) and we go right down the field once again. However, this time we miss a 39 yard FG attempt.
With time running out in the half, they surprise us with a huge play for 52 yards. That sets up a 4 yard TD run to make it 27-13.
Half Time Score: Stockton leads 27-13
We trade possesions until we were able to put together a drive. A 27 yard TD pass from Walker to Davidson makes the score 34-13.
They respond with a 26 yard TD pass to make the score 34-20. They are starting to match us score for score and giving my D's track record, the come back may be on.
With only 6 minutes left, we get more points on the board with a 19 yard FG to take a 17 point lead as the score is 37-20.
We put the game away fro good on a 35 yard run by Jefferson to make the score 44-20 with only 3:55 left in the game. And it woudl stay that way.
Final Score: Stockton wins 44-20
We end the season with a 2 game winning streak. And we finish ahead of Rutgers in the Big East Standings AND the BCS! Take that cthomer!

For those of you who have been readin this dynasty, thanks!
I'll be pausing this dynasty for a little bit as I start up my FOF4 dynasty that I plan to run concurrent to this dynasty. This one has a 2 year head start on the FOF4 dynasty that I will be starting up. So I'm going to start that one up and do that for 2 years, and then will start this back up.
The only thing I've yet to determine is if I'll be doing both at the same time or doing 1 year FOF4 then 1 year TCY...we'll see.
