Got the game yesterday, after not playing my system in a few months. Started a dynasty with Temple, however, I always get the "Disc is either damaged or dirty, ect....". This seems to be a problem with EA Sports games with me. I've played the season opener about 4 times, and get it each time. Any idea why?

I got it repeatedly with the game. I think I got it with NCAA Football 2005 as well. I'm getting it with Madden 2006 for the 360. I have never replayed a game more than three times though. I'd return it for the same game to see if it's the disc.

I get this a lot too (or used to when I still used my XBox). And I was always extremely careful with my discs and my console. I just don't get it. It seems to be a very common problem with consoles - why doesn't my computer's cd or dvd drive ever have this problem?

I had this happen on my PS2 in the past with two different versions of Madden.

The first generation xbox dvd drives are faulty, its not your disc. You probably have a Thompson dvd drive, like me, and I get dirty disc errors on almost all newer games. Oddly enough, I traded in all my xbox games for NCAA football 2006 yesterday and it plays just fine. I was almost certain it wouldnt work, but I wanted to take the chance.

Check this to determine your dvd drive..

That site will guide you through replacing your dvd drive too, its very easy to do and I did it too a friends xbox just a couple of weeks ago.
