Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver and kick returner Quincy Morgan will miss the rest of the National Football League playoffs with a broken bone in his right leg, the team said.
Morgan, 28, sustained a fractured right fibula on a kick return during the first quarter of last week’s 31-17 first-round playoff win over the Cincinnati Bengals. He was put on injured reserve today and will require surgery.
The Steelers re-signed wide receiver Lee Mays to replace Morgan on the roster. Starting cornerback Ike Taylor took over as Pittsburgh’s kick returner last week after Morgan’s injury and will probably do so again this week against the Indianapolis Colts.
