I'm tired of the kids messing up/scratching DVD's so I'm starting to backup some of their favorites. I have a DVD burner and I used DVDshrink to encode the disc. What i need now is a good cheap/free burner program that i can use to copy the discs onto a dvd-r. My computer apparently didnt come with any burner programs. I have this one called Sonic, but it doesnt seem to work the way i want it to. Any ideas, the ones in antmeisters thread didnt look all that easy to use/didnt apply.

An alternative is to take the DVDs to a place with a disc buffer. My local Hollywood Video has one. It costs $2 and removes all the scratches.

Bump, I'm curious for one, too. (This sounds like a job for Antmeister ;) )

I've used DVD Decrypter, which is freeware and works directly with DVD Shrink. I guess it is gone now, but if you poke around you might be able to find it.

edit: you can still find dvddecrypter and dvdshrink easily.

I've used DVDShrink to copy a complete DVD... can't it do that, or was I imagining things?

DVDShrink can create an iso so any DVD burner software (including Sonic) should work... you don't need anything special to burn an iso file.
