I'm going Panthers over the Broncs. I just can't see Jake winning a Superbowl. I just can't. Maybe he'll prove me wrong.

Oh, and if you say you didn't think the Colts were going to win it this whole time, you're a liar. LIAR!

I voted Steelers, but this is the first year I can remember where none of the final four teams would surprise me at all if they won.

Carolina easy, they were my pick in the NFC and with the Colts not able to shake their demons and the Pats choking I'll pick Panthers in the super bowl.

And I don't see Denver beating the Steelers if they don't raise their game astronomically this week from where it was Saturday.

I'm rooting for the Steelers now. Cowher deserves to win one.

I honestly didn't think the Colts were going to win it all....however, I did pick them to lose to the Pats....

I am shocked at the NFC teams that are in it....

If the Panther play the Broncos, Jake is winning a Superbowl no matter what happens.

Anyone but the Steelers!!! I want to see a NFC team win as I dislike the Broncos and the Steelers... I picked Seattle out of default.

I want to see Seattle and Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl. I then think Pittsburgh beats Seattle (although I would be rooting for the Seahawks).

I suspect it will be Seattle and Denver. The home-team advantage will return in a big way.

This will probably turn out to be a good game, but I just don't consider Seattle-Denver a great Super Bowl Matchup. Still reminds me too much of the old AFC West.

This is my pick as well, and I will be rooting for the Steelers since they were my Grandfather's favorite team.

I pretty much agree across the board. I'd like to see Seattle and Pittsburgh, but expect to see Seattle and Denver.

If Foster for Carolina were able to play, I think they'd be there instead of Seattle though.

It has been a long time since both home teams won the Conference Championship games. In fact the last time it happened was 1996 when New England and Green Bay both won at home. Therefore, it is likely to be either Denver-Carolina or Pittsburgh-Seattle. Only once it that time period did both road teams win and that was 1997.

I voted Seattle.

Honestly this has to be the first time ever in which I wouldn't really care to much if any of these teams won it all. Usually there is atleast one, probably two teams I really don't want to win it all.

I lean towards wanting Pittsburgh or Seattle to win it, because I like them the best. But Denver has Plummer who I would like to see win it, kind of. And Carolina I have never had a problem with.

Damn, you're right! At least the Super Bowl will probably be better than the movie The Two Jakes.

I have no idea. I've been wildly wrong on most of my postseason picks this year.

The biggest question seems to be whether or not Nick Goings can now become Carolina's featured back. Can he? I don't know. This weekend should be interesting.

Don't see why not. He's been productive before. Foster isn't great to begin with.

Personally, I don't think Goings is even close to the player that Foster is. Foster is a legitimate threat because of his speed and explosiveness and is better than some starters in the league, while Goings is a good 3rd string back but that's about all. I think the Foster injury was a major blow to Carolina's chances.

He went over a thousand yards last year when both Foster and Davis were hurt (and Smith was hurt), and picked up some key yards yesterday against the Bears. They know how to run with Goings in the offense. He can't do everything Foster does, but he can pick up some tough running yards when you need him to.

Foster is on my all overrated team. Carolina is a "team" running unit if that makes any sense. When the run is working all the backs run well. When it's not none of them run well.

Heck Goings was almost identical ypc in both playoff games as Foster.

No he didn't, he went for 821 yard and average 3.7 ypc. Foster averaged 4.3 ypc this year by comparison. When he's gotten carries, Goings always averages in that 3.6-3.8 ypc area, which is subpar in my book. Foster on the other hand tends toward the 4.3 ypc when he's not injured and also brings the threat of breaking a big one that Goings doesn't.

Foster is a complete myth. # runs over 15 yards this season = 5.

Look at the game log. It's littered with mediocrity outside of two blowouts with a team that couldn't stop the run on anybody.

Is Goings the better player overall...nope but it's way closer than you'd think.

Seattle vs. Denver -

I know Big Ben has a great record but I can't see him pulling it out against Denver... then again I thought the same thing in the Indy game. As for Carolina, it is hard to think that they would allow Steve Smith to beat them. He has been doing it to everyone this year, but with Foster out, I can see Smith being slowed down. After Smith, Carolina does not have much. I do like #18 Carter (I think), he played well last game.

Seattle beats Denver in the Super Bowl

Seattle just didn't look good at all against a Redskins team that many thought was the weakest left in the playoffs. I didn't get to watch the Carolina-Chicago game, but I think that Carolina is going to be a pretty tough nut to crack.

I think it's going to be Carolina vs. Pittsburgh, and I think Pittsburgh takes it.

As much as I hope that Denver is going to win it all, I went with Pittsburgh. Denver hasn't run the ball well in several games and the Steeler's defense is outstanding...plus they are really on a roll right now.

That's an arbitrary number. He also had 3 over 30 yards, which was the same as Clinton Portis (first guy I looked up this morning to compare). Because he did it on less carries doesn't mean he's better than Portis. I don't think Foster is a top 20 back in the NFL, but there's a pretty big difference between him and Nick Goings. When you compare their ypc and number of long runs over their careers, it's pretty obvious to me.

I think the loss may be overstated a bit. Through eight playoff games, only one rusher (Foster, ironically) has actually broken 100 yards in a game. True, Alexander took the concussion and essentially didn't play against Washington, but the point remains that teams have won seven of eight playoff games without a dominant running back performance. If Carolina can get servicable work from Goings (which he's capable of doing), it should give Delhomme and Smith enough wiggle room such that Seattle can't drop LBs into coverage and dare Delhomme to throw the ball.
