Well, since their banner is featured on the top of this site I thought I would ask if anyone was playing this? I have been seeing a ton of commercials for this lately.

At first I thought this was some small market company that was trying to cash in with an IPO, but having traced the company back to Turner Broadcasting I am even more confused. So, if these people are not in it for the quick buck, via IPO, what exactly are their plans?

What would make someone believe they could make it big by reselling 10+ year old games on a subscription basis? I've seen prices of 19.99 per month, 14.99 per month , and even 9.99 per month if you sign up for 1 year.

I don't get it considering most of the games they offer are available for free some where on the web? Or, available at your local Dollar store.

I checked out their selection, and even the "upper tier" of their games are availible often for less than 10 dollars. I am hoping that the nintendo revolution will be like this to some degree, with the option to access unlimited games for 15 dollars a month.

Their sports games are crap, not worth my time. But I had been meaning to check them out for awhile, thanks for the reminder.

I like it. I just signed up for it as a trial and after Rhapsody decided to stop supporting my MP3 player, it'll probably replace my subscription (no, they're not related...) if for no other reason than to play random arcade games.

Yeah, there are emulators and such. But most people aren't exactly that savvy to know where to find those things, to do all the stuff that goes along with it and frankly, I don't care enough.

But it was neat enough so far. We'll see..

That reminds me, I need to see if I can find a way to get the old Joe Montana Football, PC version somehow. Anyone have any ideas?

Undoubtedly my most favorite football game from my younger days - on the PC, that is.
