if you have a young player with under 3 years exp, isn't he a restricted FA? so why did one player demand 6y 36m. i offered a one year deal, and he ends up signing with another team for 1y 360k. how did this happen?

I'm not sure if restricted free agents are implemented in FOF. I've never seen any.

i thought restricted free agents were in FOF2k1
If you don't resign him before training camp, then after that he is released and free to sign with another team.

Restricted Free Agents were in FOF2 as well so I can't imagine them having been left off FOF4...I would't believe it honestly..

RFA are still in the game.

RFAs do not work like NFL RFAs. You can't make a minimum qualifying offer and get them for a year.
RFA in FOF mean you have exclusive bargaining rights until pre season. The player can still ask for whatever he wants and reject any offer he does not like.
After pre season a player will only accept a 1 year offer, and will probably take close to the minimum. When you pick him up like this it as a free agent and not an RFA.
Not sure how this affects cohesion. I suspect that this player is treated as a new guy.

Hmmm, is he a Wig or HM???
Edit: Probably a Wig, since they're more into mischief. HM is more into rabble rousing...
