Yeah, yeah, yeah. I can be the official dream crusher of FOFC. :D

As I mentioned to Cringer, I did not believe tis had a good chance of bearing fruit. I know I'm not an active member here, but really, it was worth a try. I've been a Steeler fan my whole life. I lived through Mark Malone and Walter Ambercromie blowing out their knees . . . I lived through the Steelers trading for Todd Blackledge. I lived through Bubby Brister somehow finding a way of over throwing Louis Lipps down the sidelines. How about the Joe Walton power trap scheme? Not good. I was teased the last 11 years by reaching the AFC Championship, yet finding ways to lose.
So in other words, I must find a way to go.
Have fun with me if you must, but if anybody, ANYBODY, knows anybody who has tickets available outside ticket broker prices, let me know via PM.

Thanks! ( Let the regularly scheduled flaming begin! I'm guessing somebody can make a parody thread of this too. :D )

No problem. Finding SB tickets is an shady enterprise. I found somebody who claimed to have 8 tickets in LA. . . That just did not seem right.

Remember AE, I know where you live, and if I see you in Gurnee Mills, we might have a throw down! :)

Do you happen to live in those nice apartments behind that little strip mall? You know, the one that has the Amish Furniture store?

Nice. In my single days, I almost rented there. Great place. A guy who stood up in my wedding lives in those south of Grand on Milwaukee, just south of Washington - just around the corner from you.

I somehow do recall the Steelers having a pretty team and a winning legacy from the 70s. That's more than most teams.

At least he didn't mention Tim Worley, Merrill Hoge, or Mike Mularkey.

Esquared1

He could have mentioned Frank Pollard, Cliff Stout, and Adrian Cooper. That would not have been good.

Poli

Adrian Cooper. Now there's a name I haven't heard in a long time.

I suppose you could have thrown in Dwight Stone, Rick Strom, or Derek Hill, though.

Not a Steelers fan, but I know an ASU grad when I see one. Mark's a great guy. Last I knew he was doing sports in Chicago. Got to meet him when ASU played at Northwestern in 2004.

Bam Morris was on some good steelers teams though. Far too recent to be lumped in with the Stoudt's and Malone's of this world, let alone the Worley's.

I'm drawing a blank...who was that monster tight end on the Steelers awhile back? Good player but lots of off-field issues and injuries.

I have one of D. Hagan scoring a TD in endzone and I'm chearing on from the stands with my hands raised. I bought it from the AP and blew it up to poster size and had him sign it. It now hangs in my "ASU room" at my house. I'd love to see the pictures if you have them somewhere. PM me a link.

Yeah, the Steelers had like 5 or 6 down years there. I bet it was rough.

Poli

I'll see if I can put them on the net somewhere. I was actually in the opposite endzone, but on the opposite side.

I found that a little funny, since it was "Hero's Day" there. Free tickets to the military, our guests. We're sitting on the visitor side when there were a number of empty seats on the home side.

I was on the Visitor Side too. close to where NW enters the field and by their not so jumbo jumbotron. And all the pop warner football kids that were there. Sounds like we might have been on the same side.

I thought it was pretty sad that for their home opener on Sept 11th they had so few fans there, but I guess school hadn't started. They also ran out of water and Hot Dogs too they said, "They didn't expect this many people for the game"

I was close to where ASU entered the field. I know I saw Walter up close as he went by.

Actually, I live in the Chicago area, so I can't wear it in public. I bought it in response to Kordell Stewart jerseys. I never understood Kordell Stewart - I always thought he was brutal, but Steelers fans just loved the jersey. So I decided to get the worst Steeler QB of all time.
