In the wave of Sudoku, we gave our niece a book with Kakuro puzzles, also called "Cross Sums". Here's the wikipedia on it (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kakuro):

and here's the picture of an easy one:

Basically, you need to have numbers from 1 to 9 on a row or a column that add up to the number in the grid with no number repeating itself in that said line or row.

I usually print one out from www.kakurosan.com (http://www.kakurosan.com) although I was unable to get to their "delicious" one a couple minutes ago. The delicious one is supposed to be a 5 minute one and their "malicious" one is supposed to be 30 minutes iirc...

I kind of like these, anybody else play these and either like or hate them?

I've got a small book of those, been playing these kinda puzzles every now and then for 12 years now. Usually I'm done after one or two, though. Also, the real easy ones already have a couple of numbers inserted, which is perfect to get warmed up for the ones without 'hints'.

FM, these are my favorite puzzles to do...

that may have something to do with all those numbers... :)
