With somewhere in the range of 60-120 high school kids and leaders. We're hosting a party at the church where our office is. I feel sorry for the youth group kids in that church. There are like 10 of them, but their youth pastor decided it would be a good idea to join with us. Why he thinks that is beyond me, but oh well, I warned him. This will, in all likelihood, be yet another example of what a bad idea it is when people who don't really get what we do try to "network" with us. :p

Not going to be quite as cool as last year, but I will be hosting a party.

I'll be working. Had the Pats made it, I'd be watching it on our projecter while eating buffalo wings and chili fries like last year. But I don't care enough about either team to take the day off.
And, how sad is this? I've actually considered tivoing the game so I can see the commercials later. Somewhere, an ad exec just got his wings.

I have 2 choices and haven't decided on which one I want to do.
I could go to the Steeler Bar in St. Paul and hang with a bunch of fellow fans.
or
I could do what I have done since the Steeler winning streak started. Bring my computer next to my little 13" tv and kneel down against the couch. It has seemed to work even when I was viewing the gamecasts only.
Plus I can drink for less!

I only know this because I don't remember the last time I was sober when I watched a Super Bowl. I killed too many bain cells. :D

Step one will be finding out which Dutch tv channel bought the rights to air the game this year. Since it's 'American' football, it could take until like two days before the game to get a definitive word on whether I'll get to see the action on tv or will be stuck with play-by-play coverage over the 'net.

i will be hosting the 5th Annual Super Bowl Extravaganza at my house, although i dont think there are going to be nearly enough people this year to qualify as an extravaganza...not like the year i built bleachers in my basement .

Sporadically, mostly hoping to catch the commercials. I'm hard pressed to recall a SB that I found less interesting than this one (and that's saying something).

of the 4 teams in the conference championships - what combination of teams would have made the game more interesting for you? or did your team just not make it to the playoffs and you wouldn't have cared who played in the SB no matter what?
i bet on the Steelers to win the SB last summer when i was in Vegas, i had $10 burning a hole in my wallet so i took the 10-1 odds, so i'm happy. but if the Steelers couldn't have made it i would have liked to see the Colts play, i think Peyton deserves a championship, then his brother Eli can win one too since i'm from NY.

Once Indy was out of the playoffs, my interest pretty much ended for the year.
Denver is unremarkable, Carolina is obnoxious on a personal level (not the team, the portion of the fan base that I occasionally have to deal with -- long story, don't ask), Pittsburgh is pretty unlikable thanks to their fans, and Seattle is ... well, Seattle just is, about as uninteresting a team as has ever existed in the NFL.
There was really nothing compelling to me in the conference final round, heck I couldn't even work up a good strong hate for any of the teams that I found unlikable, leaving me with nobody to root for nor (seriously) against.

Bump. Looks like about half of us are going to watch it in a group, and half are going to watch it at home.

Was going to do something with my normal Terps tailgating group, but something fell through, now I'm just going up to my friend Wendy's house and we'll watch it together.
