I've started seeing more and more things that make me say "DUH," especially in this wonderful era of the WWW.
Today's gem comes from CNNMoney.com (link (http://money.cnn.com/2006/01/27/news/economy/newhomesales/index.htm?section=cnn_topstories)):
Half of the homes sold for more than the median, the rest for less.Wow.
So profound.
Anybody else have any more?

Pretty much any quote from Yogi Berra can go in this thread.

And most pro sports announcers:
"If they score more points than the other team, they will probably win."

I've been watching a lot (i'm sure an unhealthy amount) of soccer on FSC. Whenever one team goes up 2-0, about 5 minutes later you hear one of the announcers say, "Well, you certainly feel that the next goal might be crucial in this one."
Incisive.

I think we need to disallow anything from ESPN, ESPN.com, and John Madden.

I saw an article today about a study that came to the following conclusion:
"Debates and facts don't really sway the partisan opinions of hardcore Democrats or Republicans."

This one is along those same lines. A former Arkansas QB was asked on a local radio show to talk about the Razorback's chances in an upcoming game. He replied, "I really think it's going to come down to three things: offense, defense, and special teams."

One of the headlines on CNN.com:
Official: Postal killer had 'psychological problems' (http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/01/31/postal.shooting.ap/index.html)
Gee, ya think????

not quite the same, but my local paper had a headline the other day something like:
"Homeless Man Fingered in Fire"

See a really tall person walking down the street and someone runs up to them and says....
"Wow, you're TALL!"
Ummm, thanks for telling me. I didn't get that memo...

"Jim Haslett has done such a tremendous job this season that he should be considered for Coach of the Year."
Paraphrase of Joe Theismann in one of the Sunday Night Games this season, foreshadowing Haslett's firing and rehiring as an assistant coach for the Rams. Bill Simmons did a lot better job dealing with this quote than I am, but I don't pay the insider fees to read his stuff.
EDIT: I guess mine is more of a moronic quote than a "Duh" quote.
