I have been out a while so I am not sure if this has been discussed or not. I just saw the website for it and wondered if anybody knew anything about it. Is it a FOF wannabe or something dfferent? It sounds cool.

There was a thread about it, im too lazy to go find it...but ya, its been discussed. I find it highly funny the screenshot discussing using sanders as a reciever is bugged...it asks play at reciever or just on offense :)

I guess its still too new for a lot of info. I think I'll sit back and wait for better screen shots and gameplay info.

Looks like a keeper.

Now you can get the 4-1-1 on whether or not the Ravens would have won it all if Deion was just given a chance.

Highest Stat: Wins. It goes without saying, but Coach A. Action Jackson is da shiznit.

Wouldn't it be fun to see Deion go over the middle as a slot receiver?

I see a LOT of dropped balls as Deion masterfully tucks-and-rolls.

I'll be curious to see the credits on this one when it comes out. I know my former manager at MS was working on this as one of the art directors, and I think our former game design lead was one of the producers on this one (both of them have moved on to Madden).
The game designer guy I know was at least familiar with FOF, though I don't know how much he played. He did design the dynasty component of the first couple of NFL Fever Xbox titles, though they were admittedly well-short of FOF.

Its a shame that the MS sports titles fell apart. Every time i hear you talk about working on those titles, man, I think that would be like a helluva job to have. And i get jealous.

One of the guys who worked on FBPro 99 is working on this title from what I hear. He was a college student when the FBPro series was kicking with 97 and online leagues. Think his name is Mark he used to run the IFL and made the utitlity for FBPRO head to head leagues that would allow you to recover games that lost connection.
His first job was FBPro 99. I was on the beta for FBPro 99. It is a shame that game wasn't given more time.

That's like saying my first job was washing dishes at my uncle's diner.

EA will never make a decent sim until they focus more on content and less on eye candy. SI where are you?

I think the issue is as much the medium as it is the people making the games. Given the interface with consoles vs. computers, i.e. controllers vs. keyboards, the console platform lends itself better to focusing on action rather than strategy.
I get some enjoyment out of playing dynasty mode and simming games with the EA titles, though they don't have as much depth as the text sims. With the limitations of a controller input and the smaller resolution even on HDTV's vs. the settings most people use on their computer monitors, I don't know that many people would prefer a sim-heavy sports game on their console vs. on their PC.
While the EA dynasty modes don't have the depth of the better text-sims, there are still elements that are very well thought out and creative. I think EA's college football game has done a lot of very cool things with their recruiting mode. It's too easy, but they have a lot of things that I think Jim could learn from.
Regarding SI, I'd be real curious to hear impressions from FM fans that have played both on the PC and on the Xbox and hear what they think of the differences.

It was a lot of fun. I do miss sports games, but I'm also having a blast on my current project. I can't wait until it's publicly announced and I can pimp it here.

Apparently EA laid off a few dozen people in Orlando yesterday afternoon, including some senior people on one particular unspecified project (the Fark thread at hxxp://forums.fark.com/cgi/fark/comments.pl?IDLink=1888768 has a few first-hand details.) It'll be interesting to see when (if?) we hear more about NFL Head Coach.
