Forms of the verb "smite" are not used nearly enough in modern society. That Ice Cube quote in The Onion was classic.

Back in my days, we used the word "smiteth". :)

This has been WAY exaggerated. There will be booth babes at E3 this year. They just will not be naked or allowed to have sex on the show floor. This is SUCH a non-story.

Judging by a few of the people I have known to attend E3, this basically ends their chances of seeing ANY naked chicks this year.

Well in the past booth babes would wear stripper type outfits. Basicly this means you will no longer being seeing chicks in bikini type outfits.
I might be a total dork for saying this, but I would rather the companies spend more time on games then on booth babes.
Ok, I am a total dork but I look forward to E3 every year for the games period.

I'm in the same boat as you. I went to e3 twice, and both times I purposely stayed away from the booths that drew the largest crowds of guys with taped glasses because that's where the babes were. So there were games that I never played because I didn't want some 40-year old guy who's never seen a grwon woman naked breathing down my neck as I was playing a game so he could get a better angle. Besides, some of the women there like to wear as little undergarments as possible while working, and some of the displays they are standing on are mirrored. Not a smart move if you don't want the entire world to see what you got down below.

Eh, this won't affect the main show floor. They mostly had the babes to promote games like Dead or Alive, EverQuest, basically games that had scantily clad women in them to begin with.
The major titles drew crowds without it. Where most of the booth babes were, usually, was Reject Hall where all the games nobody ever heard of (mostly Korean cell phone MMO's) congregated.
If you're sticking to the main halls, you probably won't notice a difference.

The way accounting for game production works, there's almost no connection between the two. A publisher will decide ahead of time how much money goes to marketing and how much goes to development - I doubt that the reduction of booth babes at E3 will have any noticeable impact on said budgets, since the amount of money spent on booth babes is but a tiny, tiny fraction of the entire marketing budgets for most game titles.
