Check this stuff out. The artist creates this stuff so it looks three-dimensional when viewed at the correct angle. It's pretty damn cool.

Be sure to click on the pics to get the full effect.

I like how he poses, Pumpy-style, in some of them.

I only seen a few of these that have been passed around by email for a number of year, but I have never seen this large of a collection. What makes this guy amazing is that he is not only an awesome artist, but he has mastered the technicality of perspective to his organic art. Just amazing!

The Batman & Robin one if absolutely amazing. Most these others have made the internet rounds before, but they're always worth taking another look at. Just seriously impressive stuff.

While it isn't on sidewalks, wanted to take a moment to pimp one of my favorite modern artists, John Pugh (http://www.illusion-art.com/default.asp).

As with most internet pictures, I don't think they're real.
Sorry, just my opinion. Unless I'm walking down that sidewalk, see that
art, look at it at a certain angle and I see the 3d art.

As with most internet posts, I don't think your's are real.
Unless I see you sitting down in that chair, typing on the keyboard, looking at you click the "Post" button.

I'm just not believing it. :)

The one where it looks like a square is cut out of the sidewalk is truly amazing. Heck, all of those are amazing.

Thanks for the link!

Do you know the reason why WWII German tanks squeaked all the time when they moved, particularly late in the war?

Ball-bearings. Or rather the lack thereof, due to the Allied bombing campaign.

Fletch: I'm gonna need some pliers and, uh, a set of 30-weight ball bearings.
Bud: What?
Fletch: Yeah, uh... Tell you what. I gotta go to my truck. If Fred gets here before I'm back, you can tell him to start without me.
Willy: What the hell do you need ball bearings for?
Fletch: Ah, come on guys... It's so simple. Maybe you need a refresher course. Hey! It's all ball bearings nowadays... Now, you prepare that Fetzer valve with some, uh, 3-in-1 oil and some gauze pads. And I'm gonna need about 10 quarts of antifreeze... preferably Prestone... No... No, make that Quaker State... And wash those windows. They got filth and muck on them.
