All kidding aside, I wonder why the member numbers did not carry over correctly (as apparently everything else did).

It's a fact of life. You go to bed as a happy odd, you wake up as a hated even. It happened to me to. We need a support group. :)

In all seriousness, the only thing I can think of was that banned members lost their ID numbers, and everybody was shoved back so that there were no spaces left.
