This guy is the Roger Ebert of parody thread reviews. Ebert can act about as well as Jeremy Stevens can catch.

It's Jerramy Stevens. Though despite the clever and unique spelling of his first name, he still can't catch and this thread continues to be lame. This post most definitely included.

Is this perhaps a parody of parody-threads-suck threads?

Thank you. Your knowledge of the correct spelling of shitty tight end's names has come in handy here.

As long as people stop making suck parody threads (i.e. parody threads) then the suckness of this thread will be inversely proportional to its utility.

ps. Oilers9999881111222 - what was your old FOFC name?

Leave it to the professionals, yo...If by professionals you mean the folks stand-up comics, yes. If by professionals you mean anyone on this board ... no.

The whole parody thread was really funny the first time. It was moderately funny the next three or four times. It was funny in a sad way the next two or three times. It was painfully unfunny the next three or four thousand times. Since then (sometime in 2002) it has been gouge-your-eyes-out never-want-to-use-the-Internet-again stupid every single time.

The parody folks are just trolls who need desperately need attention. I've been shouted down every time I ever complained about, so I tried to refrain from bitching and moaning too much someone only about six people are with me.

<end rant>

I didn't know you were such a drama queen, Matt.

It's just a message board. Calling people who create parody threads trolls is pretty rude and unfair. Just because your sense of humor is different than theirs doesn't give you a right to insult them. Just ignore the threads. It's the same thing with WW threads.

Getting this worked up over something so innocuous is ridiculous.

This thread could become the parody posting thread. I propose something like a farm system. Post the parody here first, and then let us determine if it's ready for the big time of a standalone post.

Parody threads are to kcchief19 as EULA violations are to SkyDog

It's a pet peeve. It's not really a sense of humor thing with me. There are parody threads that would be funny ... if it hadn't been done to death. It's just running a joke into the ground.

"Just ignore the threads" are the same thing we used to say about HM's college football threads and Hattrick threads. If we want to have a parody thread forum, you'd never hear another peep out of me. But when you come here and you have to filter through pointless parody threads to see something that might actually interest you, it's an annoyance.

I'll admit I'm dramatic in this regard -- I don't really think every parody thread starter is a troll. The first guy that did it was a genius and it should have been trademarked so that he was the only one who could do it. I'll even forgive people who just have something strike them and create one. But if you have created more than three parody threads, I think it is trolling by my definition, which includes behaving in a way on message board simply to attract attention to yourself.

It's annoying. Other people disagree. That's fine.
