View Full Version : Dream Job
Really I'm just trying to waste the last 35 minutes or so of work today, but I was wondering what everyone's dream job would be...
Mine would be a travel writer... Paid to explore the world at large and then share my observations with others...
You?

My for real, no lie, dream job would be to be a professional demographer
(and since I'm dreaming here, that'd be a "highly paid, sufficiently busy, professional demographer with untouchable job security")

My dream job would be a sports photographer. I'm a bit of an amateur photographer (although I've REALLY slacked the last few years) and would love to combine my two big passions - sports and photography.

The legal house of prostitution 15 miles east of Reno has been closed ever since the IRS seized the place in 1999 following the conviction of the bordello's manager and its parent companies in a fraud and racketeering case. The women who worked there were evicted and the brothel was padlocked.

Philanthropist. I can think of doing nothing better than having to work hard to spend large amounts of money in the best way possible. Being able to just give out money on a regular basis to make the world better? Awesome.

Professional stadium tester.
Visit all of the pro stadiums during a game and make sure the seats are comfortable, the beer is cold, the sight lines are good...
What do you mean, that's not "work"?

I'm saying that I actually want to be reimbursed for performing therapy, and not just be someone who prescribes meds only due to economic realities (and referring all of the therapy to a social worker that I work with) ;)
I think there are already plenty of messed up kids that I wouldn't need to create any more.
My other dream job would be pro baseball player (I think they take less abuse on their bodies than most other sports.)

I'm thinking being an NFL ref could be kind of cool. Great seats for a game and it doesn't go year-round. I'd just have to make sure I am better than those who did this season's playoffs.

I'd be all over professional baseball beat writer or video game writer. Don't get me wrong, guys over at Gamenikki or SGS- I love doing it, but getting paid a good wage to do it would be a dream job :)
Or how about professional tourist? Is there any way to travel around the world and just see everything there is to offer and be paid to do such?
