...you have the best record in the NFL (by far), top the Solecismic Power Rankings (by far), have the best offense in the league (by far), one of the top 5 defenses, top the league in turnover ratio (by far), play the best/most agressive football in all of the NFL (by far)....only to lose in your first Playoff game, at home against an opponent you have already beaten twice during the regular season.

You score a FG or TD late in the game to take a lead...then you kick off with only seconds left and watch the other side take it back for a score...FOF apparently never heard of the squib kick.

Try going 18-0, getting to the big game, against a team you drubbed by 40 points, and losing 34-17 due to two turnovers and a punt returned for a TD...

What made it worse, this was easily my most dominant team, my starting QB had been knocked out (a Hall of Famer) and was replaced by a rookie (another Hall of Famer) who played awesome down the stretch but collapsed in this game.

The next year we go 17-2 and win the whole thing with the rookie who became the starter that next year going down and the old vet taking over and winning the big one.

I hate it when you're an underdog on the road, and you have a lead heading into the fourth quarter. You're just waiting for the collapse. The offense will sputter, and the defense will hold until the other team's field position is good that it takes 2 plays to score. And then you look up at the clock and there's :08 left and you're down by 4

It's because you're playing as San Francisco. That city is cursed.

I think 5 Super Bowl wins in 5 tries is a curse any city would love to have :D

Sure, but what have you done for me lately? And how many of those rings have you gotten since Joe Montana left? :D

(And how many World Series have the Giants won in SF? I'm telling you, cursed.)

Happened to me in 2030 with my new FOF 2004 career last night. 16-0 in the regular season; those damn Chargers beat me and didn't even have the courtesy to win the Super Bowl.

Give it up, Sack. If a city with 5 titles is cursed, then most sports cities are cursed.

What have the Dodgers done for me lately? What has the LA football tea---oh nevermind :)

After seeing the atrocity that has been the Oakland Raiders lately, I'm firmly convinced that leaving was the best thing they ever did for this city.
