I just downloaded my first concert from archive.org in the SHN lossless format. I downloaded the Shorten Winamp extension so I can listen to the tracks but now I want to convert them to WAVs so I can put them into iTunes and onto my iPod. I don't know much about command line prompts but I am using these instructions (http://etree.org/shncom.html#usageex) to try and use a command line prompt to export all tracks in one batch. Can someone please tell me what to do after I go to the command prompt? Thank you.

First of all, I have never heard of this format and I just had to research it out of curiousity. I have yet to listen to my first SHN compressed song, but I did find some software that will convert it to the .wav format. It is advised to convert it to this format to retain the quality. From that format, you should be able to upload it to your iPod. Here is the software:

From what I am reading, the sound quality of this format is amazing. I will check out archive.org and see what this is all about.

Yep, I use MKW. I've been downloading lossless bootlegs in SHN format for several years. It's about as good as you're going to get. I convert to wav and either leave them on my hard drive or burn to disc.

The problem I've been having is that I can't set the MKW setup file to run after I download the installer. It says the "!6 bit Windows Subsystem" isn't suited for running MS Windows apps so I click ignore and then it says the setup file is in my "temp folder" and has launched but nothing happens!

By the way I just started messing with this last night and I had no trouble installing the software. What operating system are you currently using? There are a different set of instructions for Windows 95/98/NT then there is for Windows 2000/XP. If the first instance, you need the library files. In the other instance (Windows 2000/XP), they are not required.
If you did everything correctly and it still didn't work, here is an alternative:

Hopefully that will work for you.

Antmeister,
Thanks for the follow up. I eventually gave up and installed a different program. I downloaded a David Gray concert and have to say I'm very impressed with the quality of the recording.
