A poor man's multi-sport betting dynasty

Motivated by astros74 and kingfc22 I have begun my betting career at sportsbook.com. And i'm not poor but I can only deposit $200 for the year and only $50 right now. So with bonus, my total to start is $55.00.

I began this about a week ago but have just begun posting. I lost my first two bets:

Alot of interesting matchups for Olympic Hockey today. Latvia basically upset the US yesterday. I don't think they can do the same against Slovakia. I need Slovia to win by 3 or more though. Tough to call.

Nice! :) NC has been looking stronger and stronger as the season goes. I think that next year and the year after they will challenge for #1 in the nation and have a good chance at the National title each year.

I must admit my college basketball knowledge is not as high as other sports. Actually you can probably see this in my dynasty. I took what I thought were two sure bets and lost them both.

Texas I couldn't believe. That really made me mad.

And for the Ivy league Princeton/Cornell game I figured Cornell was a lock since they wiped the floor with them on the road. I guess sometimes a better perfromance should be expected when you get embarrased at home. Ah well, lesson learned.

I'm looking at taking Prtland +14 tonight at Sacramento. Will post later.

Funny - I picked Cornell in that game against Princeton as well - we both took a loss that night :(. I'm small stakes just like you - previously my biggest bet had been around $20, so winning the $45 on the $50 bet was big for me. I contemplated putting a whole $100 on it, but decided it was best not to - you just NEVER know for sure what's going to happen.

I'm still reading along...and I actually put 50 bucks on sportsbetting.com a few weeks ago b/c of these dynasties. I've done pretty well, but like you I keep the bets between 5-10 dollars usually. I grew that 50 up to 240, mostly just betting on NBA games, then i sent back 100 (b/c i'm a poor college kid lol) and have been floundering around 120-140 for a week or so.

But anyways I just wanted to say it's fun reading this and will continue to do so (who knows maybe i'll start my own too).
