...and I thought I should change his user title. I was going to do "R.I.P.", but I asked SWMBO, and she thought I could get some good suggestions from y'all. Thoughts?

No because the titles are, for the most part, frivolous or humorous. Someone who didn't know could take R.I.P. as a joke. I think it's best to remember a person for what they had contributed in their time here with us.

You could put down his life span (19XX - 2005).

In going with an idea Bucc's post just gave me:
How about reflecting on his immense interest in Political Science, we put "PoliSci Guy in the Sky"?

You could put down his life span (19XX - 2005).This is probably the idea that I'd think the majority of members could get behind. Some of the others suggested do not, I'd argue, reflect the views of most of the community. "In Memorium" or its variants might also be useful.

it's sad to see the date of his last post.Yes. It makes me wonder how the rest of that day went down. He posted at 6:49am, logged off at 7:24am, and, according to one of the articles posted, went into Stanford University Hospital later that day, never to leave alive.
