View Full Version : Worst requests by your significant other?

What does your significant other ask you to do that you hate the most?

For me, it is going to the French Quarter during Mardi Gras. I went a few times when I first moved down here and it was interesting, but ultimately the traffic and other negatives just aren't worth the fun.

Well, tonight she asked me to go again. The worst part: She doesn't even want me to go out with her. She wants me to drive her and a few of her female co-workers to the quarter, drop them off, and then pick them up late in the night. Normally, they would take a taxi for their Girl's night out, but all of the taxi companies are saying there is a shortage right now and they aren't doing any "scheduled pickups" unless they are least 12 hours in advance.

At least she didn't want you to give her a BJ.

You should go to the strip club after you drop her off.

But because you are such a wonderful husband, and because you don't want to take a chance that your wife or any of her friends would drink and drive, you are going to take them and pick them up later...right? :)

Yes, in fact, I'm leaving in 2 minutes as they are almost here at our place. The ride usually takes 15 minutes max each way. I expect to be back in 2 hours or so..

I'll be by in a few hours. You drop 'em off, we'll hit the lanes and grab some TB.

You are a saint, EF27. I hate driving downtown during Mardi Gras.

It only took about 1 hour and 25 minutes round trip, and that was with me going all the way to Bourbon street to drop them off. It's definitely not anything like it was in previous years with Mardi Gras.

General Mike, parking is virtually impossible in the French Quarter which is part of the reason they wanted to be dropped off. Therefore, even if I was inclined, it wouldn't be worth it to walk to the Strip Club.

Galaxy, nope. She used to be wild 10 years ago, but I mellowed her out some ;)

See you in a bit DetoxRoxDVHStyle.

Albionmoonlight, I hate it as well. She owes me big time even if it didn't take as long as I thought it would :)

There are no bad requests by a significant other. You always say no. If it's a demand, you either say "It's over, bitch" or "I want a divorce, bitch".

Simple really.

it's the Raiders fan's philosophy :D

Honestly EF, when people say you're a good guy, I go and think "heck, I simply would expect him to act like that, it sounds just like him" :)

Something happened (she doesn't want to discuss what happened right now over the phone) and she now wants me to come pick her up. I'm not sure if I'm picking up the other ladies I dropped off too..

I got money on that it was because someone exposed a boob. Just a hunch. ;)

The guy spent alot of time and effort on this, especially with the frilly fonts. Too bad it was all for naught. I guess his wife did not appreciate him trying to be efficient.

The timing on this was horrible. That would have made the perfect Valentine's gift had you posted it a few days ago.

Nah. Her friend/co-worker pissed her off over something stupid, but no boob flashing was involved. However, Mrs. Eaglesfan was already hammered thanks to a drink called "The Smile." Her friend who pissed her off seemed similarly hammered.

Edit: And I agree with Senator.

http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/0217062contract1.htmlWow.

That was appalling. But at the same time, presumably the woman dated this guy before they decided to get married (just an assumption). Surely a winner like this guy didn't "change" and become a dictator just because of an engagement. The woman in this case is probably a bit off herself, if she was OK with it while they were dating...

Print off a copy of that contract and give it to her. You'll be single again before you can say "Shazam!"
