In particular, Norm, who is an eight week old Austrailian shepherd/Lab mix, is black, white and brown; likes to chew on anything and who I will never have to put through college. I have fallen in love in less than 24 hours.

That is all.

Tell me about it. My wife brought home a six week old black lab and and an eight week old miniature dachsun (sp?) two weeks ago. They were both rescues from the pound. Buddy and Reggie are fitting in quite nicely, but the bed seems a lot smaller than it did before. :)

We adopted him at roughly 3 years old, so we don't have puppy photos.

We've now learned he's probably a Rottweiler/Swiss Mountain Dog cross. :)

Yeah, that first picture just screams out that he's got Rott blood.

I'd like to submit that even older dogs can be cute. This is a pic of Moppett from our New Mexico camping trip last summer. She's getting on up there, she is either 16 or 17 years old. She didn't like the cold mornings too much. :D

People who dress their pets should be spayed and neutered, because clearly they're possessed of a mental imbalance that we cannot afford to pass onto future generations. :p

I know we're talking puppies, but here's Kee-Kitty, aka fat ass.

He can eat a whole can of cat food in about 1 min.

And the most recent picture I have of him from september, he is now a lot bigger...about a 55 pound boxer. The other dog is his brother that my good friend bought.

Not puppies but small dogs. The brown one on the left is named Tootsie Roll and is a mini whose about 7 years old. The one on the right is a toy dachshund about 3 years old and named Sadie Hawkins

Dogs make good chinese food.

One of my cats pissed me off last night though, he chewed through the strap on a pair of the woman's high heels. Might as well have a dog if I wanted shit to get chewed up...

My dog just turned I guess about 8 months old- and he is behaving nicely inside now...but when I leave him in the backyard he is trouble. He just figured out how to dig so I have little holes all over the back yard...and he is constantly taking everything he can pick up and dragging it to his spot in the back of the back yard. I guess puppies will be puppies. I hate litter boxes- thats why its no cats for me.

JeeberD
02-19-2006, 03:38 PM
I would much rather scoop a litter box two or three times a week than have to take the dog outside to walk it and then pick up it's poop when it's done.

The woman and I have talked about getting a puppy once we get a house a few years down the road, but for apartment life cats are a much better fit.

I have a cairn just like that, expect the ears stick up.

Is it a border, norwich or a norfolk?

I used to have a black lab. We had to put him down in 2004, he was about 14 years old (ancient for a pure black lab). :(

I actually have a cat now. I like cats and dogs, but my lifestyle right now--living in an apartment, and not walking 100% perfectly yet--isn't really conducive to owning a dog. I'd have another big dog, if I had one. Another lab or another large breed. Anyway. Oz (my cat) thinks he's a dog. I have a set of pictures of him at flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/terpkristin/sets/288540/), or you can check out these three quick shots:

Is it a border, norwich or a norfolk?i'm assuming border=cairn, then yes, he's a cairn. he's in kansas right now, he grew was born on a puppy farm but was rescued. hopefully we'll get him in a few weeks. you can even vote on his name at one of the links in my sig if you're so inclined.

We have 2 cats and a dog...radii and Anthony each have a cat, and the dog is mine. I love cats and until a year or so ago was a cat person - but now I think I am a dog person...the love they give is so much different than that of a cat. I still love cats, but I could never have the relationship I have with Leo with a cat...there is something special about dogs :)

However, the only reason we got Leo was b/c the house we are renting has a fenced in backyard...I would never have a dog in an apartment, or in a house without a fence.

I was hoping that this was a follow-up thread to the "release the puppies" talking about Jennifer Love Hewitt! :D

We had a pekingese growing up. Great dog, but shed a lot. Named him Pokie since he was a pokey little puppy.

I don't think its a cairn because the ears stand up, as with the others, they flop.
