Is that a consideration?
I am on the fringe of buying it or not , but I might consider it even more if it was going on sale.
Or is that a pipe dream?

i'd probably buy it if it was availbe in download form, being on sale would help tons too. I think i'm more prone to buying games that i can have "right now"... the thought of waiting for FOF4 makes me turn to other things

I totally agree with you.
I dont want to buy it and wait for it to be shipped.
Actually, I will wait till it downloadable or on sale.

You don't want to buy it and wait a week or two for it to arrive but you will wait 4 or more months for it to become available via download?!?
I totally understand.

i'm sort of waiting for it to become ready via download.
it's not ready now in it's current form. by the time it's downloadble ready it *should* be fixed enough to warrant me giving it a look.
then again, CM4 will be out by then and i just may not care.

:::droooooooooool:::
I wanted FOF4 when it first came out...i guess i was caught up in the hype...But since it was'nt being shipped to Canada till later on...i sorta lost my enthusiasim for it...
Now i too will wait and buy CM4.
just like bbor, although, the historic draft files work will surely sell it to me (the extra $10 for shipping to France is a pain in the a$$)

That's what I thought as well. Despite the coolness factor of seeing historical players, it is still FOF4. I think the best thing that can save this is for each team to have the option of being human or AI. Imagine an online 1970 FOF league.

I'm with Hell Atlantic about waiting for FOF4 to be "fixed enough".
Anrhydeddu: Has anyone approached Jim with the idea of allowing league play via a transferrable league file (like we used for online play in FPS Football -- A league commish collects roster files and game plans from each player, compiles them into a league file, sims all games for the week, then re-distributes the league file back to each player)?
I don't know anything about programming, but suspect that the size of the Universe file would prevent this idea. I wonder if Jim has considered tinkering with the way information is stored so that a league file could be created in an easily transferrable size.
I've been absent from the boards for 2 years so I don't know if this subject ever been raised.
