I never thought I'd actually watch ice dancing...but I just flipped over to NBC and saw some ice dancing on and saw that a French duo was performing to the theme from Les Miserables.
I must say, it was an almost perfectly-designed routine for that couple. The only other ice dancing I've ever watched was Torvil and Dean dancing to Ravel's Bolero, another beautifully coreagraphed piece.
Just had to say. Never thought I'd watch ice dancing, but I'm glad I randomly switched over to see that performance.

/tkLoved that performance. Haven't watched any of the other free skates, really, but that one was very, very well done. Wish they had scored better.

Isn't ice dancing the event where they take out all the hard stuff from figure skating and turn it into ballroom on ice?

Actually, they replace the hard stuff with different hard stuff. I watched the dancing yesterday and people were falling trying to pull off some pretty impressive lifts. It still isn't my favorite event, but it is more interesting than I thought it would be.

At least the American chick is pretty hot. What's the deal though with her citizenship? I thought I heard something about how she only recently became an American. When you hear her speak, she doesn't have a non-American accent at all.

Mrs. Eaglesfan loves the Ice Dancing :(
Oh well, like Cartman said, the American Skater is easy on the eyes.
I think the Aerials tonight were my favorite event yet. Some of those jumps were just amazing.

Worst night of Olympics ever. Ice dancing and freestyle skiing. Ugh.
These olympics desperately need prime time, High Def curling.

I was gonna comment about that. My wife loves figure skating in general and we usually follow the mens, womens and couples (even went to a Skate Canada competition with her a couple years ago and it was surprisingly fun) but skip the dancing part but I keep seeing highlights of ice dancing couples taking spills and such and the CBC commentator was saying that it was because of the rewards put forward by the new scoring method. Couples are more willing to try harder stuff and because of that, some of them end up face flat on the ice...

I've been laid up in bed since Friday night sick, and have watched more of the olympics than I wanted to, but the ice dancing wasn't all that bad. However, the best part of the coverage was the hockey, curling, and ski jump.
