After the too early demise of a few outstanding dynasties (ZFL, The Iowegian Legion, Small Town Heroes), I've decided upon a new approach. No more lost dynasties--I've written the entire dynasty in novel format, backed it up, and I will now release it bit by bit until its conclusion.

This dynasty was more fun than any I've done (except maybe for Iowegian Legion), and should hold your attention all the way through. Best of all--we won't leave you hanging, because it's already entirely written!

I recognize this entire thread is shameless self-promotion, a blatant attempt at persuading the academy to consider an early candidate for the 2007 Golden Scribes. And yes, I'm soliciting readers. If you've never really gotten into the dynasty threads before, or if you remember some of revrew's old dynasties, I suggest checking out "The Rise of the Rebels" in the dynasty section. Just click on the link in my signature line.

Oh, and by the way, a few interesting observations from this dynasty:

1. Rookie's hometown and college must be set random, as game-generated rookies don't have the same tendency toward hometown and college proximity as those veterans in the player files. I discovered in this dynasty that my ability to draft a player that is both from a select pool of states as hometown AND from a select pool of states as college became extremely challenging. It was rare to find a rookie in the draft pool who met both A and B conditions.

2. After playing for several seasons, the Texas hometowns dried up and went away. Whereas Texas is a fertile field IRL, after a few years, Texas faded and a disproportionate number of rookie stars came out of Utah, Montana, and North Dakota. Hometowns, I'm talking, not colleges. I wonder if others have seen this?

That's probably a good approach. I've done it for a single season, but not for the whole dynasty!
