I bought "In The Aeroplane Over The Sea" about two weeks ago. I had put it off for a long time, for some reason.

This album is amazing. Basically, every song is awesomely singalong worthy. Unbelieveable album. Any news on them coming out with something else? I heard that Mangum was done with this band, and possibly music in general.

"And one day we will die,
and our ashes will fly
from the aeroplane over the sea.
But for now we are young,
let us lay in the sun
and count every beautiful thing we can see..."

I also bought Tom Waits' Rain Dogs...Another absolutely mesmerizing album.....

You'll probably hate me for posting this but I first heard that song when I heard Matt Pond PA's cover. I was blown away by the song when I heard the cover so I'm anxious to hear the original version as well.

I like Matt Pond PA...I didn't know they did a cover. Limewire time. Thanks for the heads up, samifan.

It's a very good album... the cover freaks me out a bit, though.

Downloaded it to see what the fuss was about.

I'm only on Two Headed Boy so far but first impressions is that it'd be a lot better if he wasn't shouting at me the whole time.

"Holland, 1945" has always been a favorite song of mine.

i believe this album is a concept album about the holocaust.

its also an amazing album, start to finish. i think it will go down as a classic.

the dude who recorded it has basically dropped off the face of the earth. its been, what, 8 years since he released anything? dont expect anything anytime soon, as far as i know.

if youre jonesing, check on On Avery Island, i think its called. Naomi is a great song off there, but the album as a whole pales to Aeroplane...
