The basic premise is a white family is made up to be black and a black family is made up to white. They live together for the duration of the show and talk about their experiences.

He seemed to use the N word every chance he could get and although the black father on the show may be a little over the top Bruno definately exceeds that in the opposite way. It's like he is making fun of black people while doing the show and that makes it seem like minstrel.

Bruno is a complete Moron, the way he acted, especially with the N word, was embarrassing to me. Also, his Wife is amazingly naive.(my polite way of saying complete ditz)

Mr Sparks also seems a bit prone to hyperbole.....My wife and I were both shaking our heads over the whole Shoe store thing........Congratulations on being the first Black Man to ever have a shoe horn used on you. ;)

To be honest the only ones who seem to be completely open and "get it" are the Kids (Nick and Rose) of both Families. I think they reflect the growth in this area of Kids today in general. Young people now are exposed to so much more diversity in all aspects of life and have a better awareness of race issues, which is a very good thing.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed Bruno's idiotic behavior. I couldn't believe the number of times he used the N-word. What a freaking prick. And this is coming from someone who lives in LA, one of the most diverse cities in the US. And when he was on the all-black panel could he have made more of an ass out of himself? Come on.

Just watched the show. Bruno was the most difficult person to watch, with the other father a somewhat close second. And I agree with BYU 14, the kids are the ones who seem to get it. Both of them approached it by being themselves and not trying to "act" the way they perceive what another race is supposed to be.
