We trid this once or twice before, I think... with free agency about to begin in earnest, it seems like a good time to give this a go again. I included a few intriguing rookies in the mix as well, just for giggles.

The contest is this: for each player listed, identify the NFL team' roster where he will appear for next season. For players where this is relevant, bonus points for indicating something along the lines of "starter, competition, or backup" as you see it (even though these will admittedly be subjective). If you want to be more detailed... saying things like "one year deal" or "incentive laden contract" that is fine... like any predictions, the more specific, the more credit you deserve.

Daunte Culpepper - Minnesota (he'd have to give back 15 million for them to let him go)
Kerry Collins - backup in Houston
Drew Brees - Miami
Patrick Ramsey - NY Jets
Edgerrin James - Indianapolis
Jamal Lewis - Dallas, for shockingly little money
Mike Anderson - Kansas City, backing up LJ
Antwaan Randle-El - Redskins
Terrell Owens - ATL, where he has Vick killed by week 6. You think McNabb throws at your feet once in a while?
Isaac Bruce - Denver
John Abraham - Redskins
Sam Adams - Buffalo
Julian Peterson - Minnesota
Willie McGinest - Pittsburgh
LaVar Arrington - Giants
Ty Law - Back in NE
Sam Madison - Dolphins
Matt Leinart - New Orleans
Vince Young - Arizona
Marcus Vick - Not on an opening day roster

I think Leinart is kind of a boring question - there is little doubt where he'll end up. I think a more interesting question would be Priest Holmes.

Odd that no one has Sam Adams going to Cincinnati, he's already made the calls and there was a meeting scheduled for sometime soon between he and Marvin.

He's a Lewis player, I'm betting he comes to Bengaldom.

Yay, I got Sam Madison correct.

Giants | Madison reaches four-year deal
Fri, 10 Mar 2006 10:57:33 -0800

<A href="http://www.kffl.com/link/17">Len Pasquarelli, of ESPN.com (http://www.kffl.com/link/9), reports the New York Giants (http://www.kffl.com/team/26/nfl) have reached a deal on a four-year contract with free agent CB Sam Madison (http://www.kffl.com/player/1016/nfl) (Dolphins). The deal is worth $7.4 million and includes a $2 million signing bonus. He will have base salaries of $900,000 (2006), $1.2 million (2007), $1.5 million (2008) and $1.8 million (2009). Interesting. I have no idea how this works capwise, etc. But the more I think about this, the more I like it for both the player and the team.
