Can anyone explain THE RING to me?
I was freaked out by the movie but am still pretty confuxed about the ending? Why are they making another copy, and that Goth lookign chick looks eerily similar to Samara.

I dont know for sure since its been awhile since i've seen the movie, but it has something to do with in order to not be killed by it you need to make a copy and someone else needs to watch it i think. Like i said im not exactly sure but its something along those lines i believe.

My understanding of the ending...

It wasn't that they needed to make a copy but that they needed to have someone else watch it to not get killed by Samara. So they did...and you were the one watching it. So what was "unspoken" was that you now needed to get a copy and get someone else to watch it or Samara will come and get you.

You mean you didn't? Oh shit! You fool! You had to!

OMG, here she comes!!!!! AUUUGGGHHHH!!!

I thought the Ring 2 sucked. I would of preferred all new characters.

And, Every person with a Y chromosome in that movie was a goner.

I thought the Ring 2 sucked. Agreed. It's like they didn't even write a script. It had the feel of making it up as they went along.

So hypothetically, you could just have an agreement to keep getting a new person to watch it each day, and nobody would die?

I decided not to watch The Ring 2 so it wouldn't spoil my memory of the first one. I should've done that with the Star Wars prequels. Sometimes the sequels do nothing but tarnish something that was great.

The one scene I remember most from that movie is the one where the deer are attacking her car...it was so fake looking, I thought "they didn't even put any effort into this".

Well I never saw The Ring 2 but judging by this statement, I think I'll stay far, far away.

Yes. The Ring is simply the world's most annoying chain letter.

You know, I liked the original for the most part, but I hated the ending. I thought that the last 15 minutes ruined the rest of the movie for me. Blair Witch was so much better.

Heh. Actually forgot about this place until I got a hankering for some football simming again. I was actulally quite surprised when my nick of choice was already taken and figured it must have been me from a long time ago :)

2+ years? Mmmmkay....

But I do agree that Ring 2 was nowhere near as good as the original. The original had me scared of my television for damn near a half year...

Coincidence? I just finished watching Ring 2 about 1 hour ago! It sucked (it was actually boring and totally confusing beyond belief). Loved the first one.
