What luck....isn't he supposed to be on trial for genocide or something like that pretty soon?

Guard 1 (to Guard 2): "Hey, Mike. Looks like someones stabbing the inmate in cell 18."
Guard 2: "*uck it man, its lunch time."

I hope it happened just like that.

Guard 1 (to Guard 2): 'hey mike, watch what a hot knife does to this inmates skin.'

Guard 2: 'wow, that looks painful. Hey isn't that the guy from that Yugo...what the hell country? I member learning about that in school'

Guard 1: 'yeah?'

(Guard 2 takes the butt of his gun and crushes inmates skull) Guard 2: 'I never really liked what I heard about him. (Turns to Guard 1) Come on, I'll buy you a Frappaccino'.

I hope it happened something like that.

I would have like to have seen the trial go to completion, just so his crimes could be catalogued fully and so he could answer for them...

His trial was a joke. They should have just taken him out back and shot him in the head. Would anybody really have objected to that?

I wouldn't have a problem with it.

Dola --

I wanted the trial completed, with all the gruesome detail documented. A lot Serbs still don't believe the atrocities happened...

Partly why it was a joke. A trial like that shouldn't last more than a couple of weeks, or a month, tops.

I heard Chuck Norris delivered a roundhouse to the jugular, instantly piercing the skin.

Bush would have run him through the process a bit faster.

Seriously, how can anybody who has counts of geonicide be on trial for that long. You need proof?!?!

I hope a similar detainee in Iraq knows about this. He was using the Milosevic defense (of distracting the trial away from the crimes).

Maybe it took so long because of several reasons:

* Genocoide is hard to prove. Not the body count, but finding witnesses who confirm who made the calls and who took responsibility for things happening. Is George W. Bush responsible for one American soldier who brutally kills an Iraqi soldier? Where do you find the proof that Bush dod or did not make the call to eliminate the Iraqi?

* Milosevic was said to have health problems when the trial started

* Milosevic demanded to be his own lawyer and that clearly didn't hurry up the process. Of course, the health problems forced him to tone down and accept taking a lawyer.

And all things aside, he was on trial, not convincted yet. It's not as obvious that he was a dictator with a militaristic regime suppressing civilization as it is said to have been in Iraq. I mean, when you take a look at the proof they seemed to have, you'd almost wonder why Western world leaders aren't on trial for the same crimes.
