So I decided today to check how many reward points I have on my Amex card after nearly 2 years of use. And the answer is nice amount. So I think it's time for me to start to thinking about a reward. But I would like my reward points to go far for their dollar. It seems as though the ones that can be converted into gift certificates for dollar amounts work at a 100-1 ratio. Presumably some of the items are better deals then that. Does anyone know of a site which looks at such things so I could be more informed?

I'm not sure of a site for this, but I do know that frequent flyer miles are generally valued at 1 to 1.25 cents per mile. That's usually the standard used to determine if it is worthwhile to cash in miles for a flight or item. I hardly ever use my AMEX anymore, so I'm not up to speed with the Membership Rewards program these days.
