TV: The Evidence

I liked it alot. Interesting, entertaining and funny.

Seeing Martin Landau flinging pens at that guy, I was laughing.

I enjoyed the pilot as well. The concept caught my eye during the promos so I tuned it. I liked the chemistry between Estes and Jones and am eager to see that develop. I am also hoping Jodi Lyn O'Keefe will have a continual role in (I think) her first series since Nash Bridges.

CSI:NY is taking up my Tivo during this time slot.

Saw the first 2 minutes and was like "kewl, you only need 5 pieces of evidence to solve the whole thing. CSI-ing is easy."

It was okay at best, but the premise that "you, the viewer, will get all of the evedince of the case up front before the detectives" was complete and utter bullshit.

First of all, there were only 4 pieces of evidence - 5 if you count the body. And of those 4, two of them - the finger and the locket - had NOTHING TO DO with the outcome of the case. Even so, without context, the evidence they showed you at the beginning was a worthless exersize.

This was your plain-old, run-of-the-mill, buddy cop show. Nothing to distinguish it from any other show, with the exception of the dreadful acting by the two main characters. Orlando Jones and Rob Estes both suck. They really really suck.

Despite my hopefullness, this is now a must-miss in the Zilla house.

That was what made me turn it off. After all the commercials about getting this great evidence the guy comes on, reads off 4 items. I'm like uh, yeah how could you not solve it with that evidence. Totally turned me off as a bogus concept.

I have my TiVO set to pickup pilot episodes so I got this.

You pretty much some up my feelings in a nut shell. It was a completely pedestrian buddy-cop show with a failed premise at being "different". It did not get a season pass.

It was apparently SO bad they brought back Invasion. Well either that or this was the Invasion time-slot, and they are moving "The Evidence".

I just clicked on this thread to see if people thought it was as lame as the first 30 seconds of each episode. I routinely had it recorded at the end of lost, but never watched past those first few seconds where they showed essentially meaningless pieces of evidence in an overly dramatic and cheesy way.

ABC wanted to see how it will do in Invasion's timeslot instead of running Invasion reruns. No decision has been made as to if they are going to bring it back for the fall. ABC will announce their plans on May 16.

I hope they bring back Invasion as the body snatcher vs humans plot has been really getting into gear the past few episodes.
