how do you do that? like if i wanted to have a single player career, but with me controlling all teams - do all i have to do is make myself the commish and that's it?

Yeah, but it is incredibly tedious since you cant make team changes in commish mode(like change contracts). You'd have to save the stage as commish, log in as a team, make an export. then you'd have to copy the export into your import folder by hand, and then repeat that for 30 teams. Unfortunately there's no way to quickly change things for any of the 32 teams.

damn Jim, gotta implement some editability/customizabilatory capabilities like OOTP into your next game. i was gonna commish my own league and control every team, but i ain't going through that.

Why not conotrol just a couple of teams (four in the same division?) and let the AI manage the rest?

ultimately, human controlled teams - no matter how sophisticated the AI - always win out. maybe not right away, but evenutally. since i haven't seen many MP league worth my time, i thought it might be neat to run a league, but with me controlling all teams. that way all trades would be awesome, every team would make smart FA signings and teams would draft players based on need (i probably would've just picked for the 1st 3 rounds and autopicked the rest). thought it might be neat.
